  1. Hello, I am assisting an elderly gentleman sell some of his books and I am attempting to see if some of them would benefit a trip to CCS and CGC. Thanks In Advance, John
  2. Hello, I am curious how badly the mark in the lower left corner will effect the grade, and what the overall grade might be. I am assisting an elderly gentleman sell some of his books and I am attempting to see if some of them would benefit a trip to CCS and CGC. Thanks In Advance, John
  3. I can't seem to find the answer to this question, slthough it might be due to me searching incorrect keywords. How does excess cover, not properly trimmed cover effect the grade? I have attached some photos. Thank in advance!
  4. I recently got a Forever People #3 and it had this issue. 1 pair of staples through the book, and a second set through the book and the cover. All look original with 0 damage. It definitely has me a bit confused.
  5. The books just came back from CGC. I have a couple of threads I'll attach books to today. Thank you everybody for offering up grades. It took me a little while to get them submitted. This one went in for a clean/press as well. But unfortunately didn't come back as nice as I hoped. Still a beautiful book however. It came back as a 6.0. On the back, almost impossible to see after the cleaning along the bottom is some almost imperceptible staining. But on the back, there is as some a large patch that they call scratching, but I think it looks like somebody had a piece of paper on top and were trying to get a pen to work by scribbling on the paper, which dented the back. I though that would come out with the press, but I guess not. There are no color breaks with that, just impressions on the back cover. Tried to get a pic, but I can't get the lighting right. On the front, mentions staining on the bottom front, but I can't seem to see it. But overall, it is still a beautiful book!

  9. I was looking on ebay and saw a fairly nice copy of an old Amazing Spider-Man. The main issue that I see with the book is the advertisement on the inner back cover bled through, and is visible on the outer back cover. How does this effect the grade? Thank You!
  10. I'm so confused, rofl. Thank you everybody!
  11. Ok, I think I have the scanning thing down I hope, and it looks like I've gotten the order right this time. I'm learning!
  12. Rofl. I'll have to look that website up. I got a few of the Lois Lane covers yesterday where he appeared to have a similar attitude. I never knew. I was never a big fan of his because I always thought he was too much of a goody two shoes, now I know better. Thanks!
  13. Yeah, I think that cover is awesome. I might need to look for a better one now that I know it exists. I bet it would look sweet up on the wall.
  14. These old Superman covers are a trip. He was kind of a jerk, haha.
  15. Just picked up a bunch of late 60's, early 70's books from a yard sale. This however is probably the one in the best condition. The rest are fairly well tore up, but I figured even beat up they would be worth a couple of bucks.
