  1. Honest question here, is $3-3.5k the range I should expect to page for a basic Rom panel page by Sal?
  2. Stellar ROM artwork in your collection. Curious when/where you first acquired them?
  3. Thanks... unfortunately I have no MICRONAUTS art...
  4. Thanks. Seems like $3-3.5k is the ballpark for Rom panel pages. Tbh, I wasn't expecting that. Will keep looking...
  5. Looking for a Rom panel page with the Spaceknight featured in at least one or two panels. Doesn’t need to be splashy or a significant story moment. It’s not a grail or anything for me, just trying to hit the nostalgia button. Pls msg me if you have one available.
  6. This is probably a really basic (noob?) question but why do I often see reverse outlines of figures on the back of comic art boards? Does it have to do with "light boxing"? Here's an example (with thanks to Heritage) on a Ron Garney JLA cover I plan to bid on...:
  7. Sold in April 2023 on HA for $9900: Listed in Nov 2023 on CAL for $17500:
  8. I'd really like to add one to my collection, featuring WW in costume or just Diana would be cool too. Please PM me.
  9. He's on IG. I follow his work and I know he's listed original art pages there. Maybe DM him?
  10. Thanks. I really want a finished piece. I've seen the random Thor/BRB head shot come up on eBay over the last couple years, usually priced in the $300-$600 range. (I can't help but wonder what Walt charged...) but my heart is set on something more polished. Thanks for the Comic Art Tracker suggestion. Using that engine I just found this one that I think is stellar (signed by Walt but inked by Scott Hanna). I think I'd prefer Walt's inks over his pencils though. I'm not sure if its appropriate to ask but is the price fair for the current market? https://www.nostalgicinvestments.com/comic-art/walt-simonson-thor-commission-signed
  11. Many thanks for the feedback. I guess I need to just sit back and hope (pray?) one of his completed commissions/illustrations pops up for sale. (I now have saved searches on CAF, Heritage and Comiclink but pls feel free to PM me if you come across anything on the secondary market...)
  12. Just curious if anyone knows how I can go about getting on Walt Simonson's commission list. I see a fair number of his commissions when I do searches on CAF (many from the last few years) and I'm a long time fan of his work (one I the many I sure...). I'm very happy to wait a lengthy period of time if necessary and I imagine it would likely be pricey. Grateful for thoughts/advice... Thanks!
  13. It's horrendous. If I paid a dealer $9k for this piece and then found out the history soon after I'd want my money back...
  14. Because Ed still has the original listing (@ $3k) on his site.
  15. First entry for the Comic Art Live edition to FotD...? $3k to $8k in a couple months Quite bold imho
  16. This just happened to me on a pin-up by one of my favorite. USPS's fault. Did you happen to try ironing? Or just leave it pressed in an Itoya...?
  17. Love this. PP is so great. Seems hugely under appreciated/valued.
  18. Looks to be page 6 or 7 of issue 93. I don't see it on CAF. (I'd be surprised if you'd find that page available for under $1k...)
  19. Another giant gone. I'm sad.
