  1. Can you submit slabs for a signing without cracking the slab? I know typically to make a window on raw book signings but wasn’t sure if you can submit a slab and have them crack it to help preserve the grade etc.
  2. Does CGC grade Metal covers? Anything I should be careful of? Never had a metal cover until now. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
  3. I recently got a book graded that was only 1 of 100 copies produced. I just saw the graded notes etc and there isn’t a notation for this. Is that common? Should I contact them before they ship it back to me?
  4. I'm at a 6.0 Damn crease ruins another nice book!
  5. Glad to hear sonmeone else does this!
  6. The mylar doesnt crinkle etc and makes viewing the book that much easier in my collection. Poly bag get creased etc,
  7. Just wanted peoples input on the best places to buy bags for my slabs. I prefer mylar but am not locked into it. Best Value for high quantities. I have a lot of slabs I'm looking to re-bag. Just curious as to who everyone uses.
  8. Seems like a solid grade to me. I wouldn't waste the money to press it
  9. Look really really close. Todd has been known to sign in black ink on black parts of the cover.
  10. I bought a nice sharp copy of Alarming Tales #3. The seller said it was complete etc. When I went to take it out to inspect it the cover was off. At first, I was obviously ticked off but upon further inspection I noticed that I couldn't find staples at all and there are no staple holes in the covers at all. I even went as far as placing the cover on a projector to verify there were no holes. I have a few questions: 1) Has anyone ever seen this? Been collecting for quite some time and I have never seen this. 2) How does this affect the grade of the book if I were to have it graded? Can or should restoration be done? 3) Western Tales published this. Are they known to have done some books without staples? I will post more detailed pics when I get home from work
