  1. I see we're all in agreement that a 9.6 on that PG with the foxing was a gift to someone.
  2. I think the ceiling is 9.0, but it could go lower as one of the high volume books that can be scrutinized more closely
  3. This all depends on what the gunk is along the spine. Foxing can't be removed. If it's surface dirt, you can get this above 9.
  4. I'm going to ignore the other 2 books & call this my win
  5. "VF+", the + stands for "plus all the defects one finds at the GD range" https://www.ebay.com/itm/266773981980
  6. I've got 7.0 post c/p for the corner crunch that won't go away completely
  7. Curious about the bendiness on the back cover. Might be determinative depending on how reversible & significant it is
  8. 9.0 or so on this one too depending on back cover cleaning
  9. 9.0 maybe better if the back has some removable surface dirt
  10. Must be one of those fake damage variants since these are Like New NM comics https://www.ebay.com/itm/375373344686
  11. 8.5/9.0 maybe c/p'd. IDK what it is, but in the first pic, there's a white line near swampy's head. Seems to be gone in subsequent photos. A hair or something?
  12. That's part of the collecting fun, no? I do think the supply of non-key issues that are listed online is often limited. My hypothesis is that there is a supply, but fewer sellers see an upside in listing books where the demand & profit potential is low. I have parked myself on automated searches for books like this, often waiting months or longer for the right copy to rise to the surface. I prefer that to the alternative where I've paid to grade something that was borderline or questionable.
  13. I have a book with a shadow at 8.0, so yes it can. This is not a valuable enough book to roll the dice on IMO. The most recent graded newsstand sale I can find is a 9.6 in 2022 for $28. The current modern fee is $25 without shipping or c/p costs. Unless it's for your PC & the investment in grading is for your own enjoyment, I don't see how the numbers add up. It might be a break even proposition if it hits mid-NM. I don't see this as a 9.6 or 9.8 candidate with a noticeable shadow
  14. that's a pretty dark dust/sun shadow on the back. 7.5/8.0
  15. 7.0 with c/p to enhance the eye appeal
  16. 7.0 is the max for a sub crease. This gives 5.5 vibes, but I think it eeks out a 6.0 as a big key.
