  1. So, if I were to upgrade now -- a month before the end of my term, and hadn't yet used my existing $150 credit, would I get a second credit added?
  2. My membership auto-renews in a couple of months. While I would like to upgrade to Elite, the current form charges me the entire amount of an annual membership to upgrade, even though I am partway through the year. I'm not inclined to do that. Is there a way to get my membership to step up at the auto-renew date?
  3. I am hitting this limit trying to download images of my slabbed comics. It persists on multiple browser instances.
  4. CLZ says they will be looking for a new partner, but it will take time. Considering that the only other software that takes CSV files seems to be ComicBase (and the UI there is hostile to me), I'll stay with CLZ. GoCollect can go collect someone else's money though.
  5. CLZ (which I like) are going to have to replace their GoCollect connection since the must-have price updating is no longer working (and the new GoCollect website is terrible).
  6. I sent 10 books in for modern grading, no pressing on 4/21. On 6/10 they acknowledged the submission and scheduled them for grading. On 8/9 they charged my credit card. I got the books back, graded, in early October. So, that's about 25 weeks, door-to-door. I shudder to think how long it would have taken with pressing, and the 3rd party people are swamped, too. It has me considering CBCS again. I think that the problem is there are only so many qualified people near their place in Florida. If they want to expand, they are going to have to open satellite offices elsewhere.
  7. NCB bends, particularly. I just got a few books back that looked like 9.8, but it seems that there were some tiny spine indentations that would obviously go away with pressing. More grader's notes would have been helpful.
  8. So, would you pay more, or less, for Captain America 111 with a double cover?
  9. Also, if you cleaned it, what does the back look like? Before there was some smudge dirt and a stain.
  10. I could have sworn I posted the images. But whatever. They're there now. That line on the lower right was a hair on the scanner. The real question is: Does pressing usually get rid of NCB creases? Is there a list of pressable defects somewhere?
  11. I look and I look and I see maybe some blunting on the LHS, plus 2 NCB creases coming in from the spine, one across the Thing's feet in the title box, and one ending at Mr F's mouth. I have no experience with pressing, but it seems like getting rid of those creases would be a good thing. Maybe cleaning, too. At 9.0-9.4 they say it's worth $100 and 9.6 is maybe 4 times that. Or am I just dreaming that it's anything like that?
  12. It's a pretty book until you look closely.
  13. I have this somewhere between 4.5 and 6.0, but I could be completely off. Too many variables. There is a 1/4" and a 1/8" tear on the back left side, both in the bottom quarter. There is a ding, but not a tear, on the front upper left, near the "r" There is an NCB fold lower right and a CB fold lower left. There is considerable minor spine stress, particularly near Mole Man's head, along with a bit of stress near the mislocated stable. The staples are solid and do not appear discolored, the corners are blunted but that's it. All 3 edges show very slight roughness, the bottom edge shows stress, mostly near the left-corner bend. The pages are white with a narrow tinge of off-white at the edges.
