  1. Everyone, stay on topic. I started following this thread trying to find an angle to make some money on buying comics for profit. Then I realized the joy comics have brought me. Buy what you like has never made so much sense untill now.
  2. Would this benefit from a press? there are a lot of creases on the spine. I know it wouldn't fix the color breaks but would it still be worth it?
  3. Do you think a press would get rid of the dent on the 25c upper left?
  4. Thanks. Why would some individual_without_enough_empathy write K on the cover.
  5. As someone who just started to value and organize my collection (Some 70's but mostly 80's & 90's) I can provide noobie advice. You may think your book's will all grade in the 9's but be careful. I meticulously bagged and boarded my books as a kid and I'm sure many will still grade below 9. I seriously over estimated their overall value. The only thing that sells are keys like #1 copies and first appearences. Good luck! Hopefully you got the Frank Miller run of Daredevil at the end of the 70's, a classic run that is under valued.
  6. My first comic book purchase on CGC went smooth as can be. Hopefully all transactions are like this. Thanks Jim.
  7. I saw that...I wonder what a 9.8 goes for?
  8. Topps made comics? Can't find anything on this One Life comic. Anybody have any background? Thanks.
  9. Can I get some recommendations for high quality bags and boards for my best copies? I hope the bags/boards I put my comics in when I was a kid were acid free. Also what's the best way to seal? I'm guessing there is a better way then tape now, as I remember ruining copies on tape pull...
  10. I recently saw 2 comics on ebay. Both 8.5's but one was listed white pages and the other White to Off white. So Both being 8.5's is the value the same or would a 8.5 with white pages command a premium?
  11. It's the first comic I remember loving. Every time I got sick I would tell my Mom to get me GI Joe comics at the grocery store.
  12. Sad thing is this is my first post talking about selling my collection and I ended up buying $300 of comics in the last week. I think I have a problem.
  13. I might have to work on the camera skills. Thanks.
  14. I thought the top right tiny fold is the most noticeable but of course I own it. I would be happy with a 9.6.
  15. 2nd shot at this. I don't think this one was free or a reprint. There is a line on both sides of the front cover which looks to be a printing flaw.
  16. YES! your right. I totally forgot. I think the Legend figure is still in my kids toy bin. So my first submission is not only a reprint but a FREE reprint that came with a toy. Epic Fail. Hopefully my next submission is legit....LOL.
  17. Using this rationale could a 9.2 be considered the sweet spot for getting the most bang for your buck, or are there other considerations based on the specific book?
  18. Thanks for the review. I plan on getting this tonight in order to scan my collection. It took me a 4 hours just to put in order after the last time I moved them.
  19. That sucks. Do you know how long after they started making reprints? Just my luck, the first comic I ask for grading help is fake. LOL.
