Yup, that was my thinking at the time- ASM 1 is dime a dozen and I can always get it back…and I did.

I ended up selling the Suspense 3 two years later to help fund a Cap 1. But three years later I was able to get a Suspense 3 back 👌🏽

I acquired my first ASM 1 ( a raw VG) when I was 20 years old. I traded a slew of Xmens 2-150 (random issues scattered) plus $500 to a friend. This was in 1995. I got it slabbed in 2000 and it came back cgc 4.0 blue. Here’s a picture. I ended up owning it for 14 years and traded it towards a Suspense 3.

Yep, Tec 31 has very distinct cowl colored versions. I haven’t really noticed a difference in the Hulk 1s personally to consider it a drastic color variant.

Yep. Nice blue cowl version too. Although, based on this 2016 scan, the FC has appeared to have slipped downward.

I’ve noticed the green difference for many years now. Dark green is preferred for me on X-men 1, but also on FF1 (can be a problem on the monster), FF5 (Doctor Doom - not as much a problem to find), and FF6 (Dr. Doom - more of a problem here than on #5.). That said, I believe it’s been 50/50 (dark/lime) on the copies I’ve owned in my career. It makes a difference. Dark green boxes on an X-men 1 tend to come with brighter, richer reds as well.

Thanks 😊. Showcase 6 isn’t too tough. I’ve seen enough over the years. But even in the online age, it tends to show up less often than, say, Flash 105 or BB28, which seem to be more plentiful at any given time.

I’ve owned four of these in my lifetime. Here is my current one for several years now. I can hear all the shots being fired and the airplanes ✈️ . The constant changing design of Cap’s inner shield is always interesting.
