  1. Tec 48 (late Dec β€˜40) release date was certainly a few weeks ahead of Bat 4 (mid Jan β€˜41). Of course, arrival dates on comics will differ from region to region upon distribution.
  2. All Winners 3, Torch 5, Cap 11, Mystic 7, and I’ll guess a Marvel Mystery 28. Certainly a Nov/Dec, 1941 time period with a few October books carrying over. Nice photo.
  3. That one pairs very nicely πŸ‘πŸ½ Sci Fi funny animal πŸ·πŸš€πŸ°
  4. πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ·πŸš€πŸ°πŸ‘πŸ½
  5. Four Color 322 (Porky Pig #1) February, 1951 πŸ·πŸš€πŸͺπŸ° This showed up today thanks to @MrBedrock πŸ‘πŸ½
  6. Recently, I got the mouse 🐭πŸ’₯ bug again. These two copies help replace a 3.5 that I had for many years. I did some reading up on Mighty Mouse history and found the following info: 🐭 Paul Terry created Super Mouse in 1942 as an animated film for the theater 🎞️ Super Mouse was a funny animal Superman swipe with the same costume colors. Then, in 1944, for the 8th film episode, Terry changed the name to Mighty Mouse and altered the suit colors. 🐭In 1945,Terry struck an agreement with Martin Goodman to publish Mighty Mouse in Goodman’s first funny animal title, Terry Toons (1942). 🐭Beginning in Terry Toons 38 (1st app- Nov, 1945), the powerful mouse would appear on every cover. St. John’s publishing would take over in 1947 followed by Pines and Dell Comics over the next handful of years. From 1955-1967, Mighty Mouse became a popular TV πŸ“Ί cartoon on Saturday mornings for children to enjoy.
  7. That’s a nice full spread house ad Goodman used on the Torch 2. I like the Cap 1 cover ad that wasn’t used on the Mystic 5. Love that Marvel Mystery 9 partial swipe 😍
  8. More evidence of Schomburg’s mastery and desire to showcase detailed machinery in his art πŸ˜ŽπŸ€“
  9. πŸͺπŸ’£ Mystic Comics 5 πŸ’£πŸͺ released December 15, 1940 with a house ad for Cap 1 (released December 20, 1940). Got a full hook πŸͺ on one of my copies.
  10. It has been a very unplanned 2023, but I suppose these make the highlight reel πŸŽ₯ 🌟 - all yellow covers but for one, and all Timelys but for one - and it was the age of pulp diving and picking up a random, 1940 piece of original art πŸ–ΌοΈβ£οΈ
  11. A plain β€˜ole Red Circle Western from February, 1941….but with a few house ads from Goodman advertising the Human Torch (#1- Fall,1940) and Marvel Mystery Comics (#15 - January, 1941) πŸŒŸπŸ˜€
  12. I like the Action title better but the Supe 5 trumps in this case.
  13. Painted πŸ‘½ UFO πŸ›Έ pulp cover by Alex Schomburg (1953)
  14. Fantastic Story Magazine (Sept, 1953) Full date stamp β€œJUL 23 1953” neatly placed on the πŸ‘½ UFO πŸ›Έ on one of the copies πŸ˜€ Schomburg 🎨 cover πŸ‘πŸ½
