  1. 9.8s seem to be in the low $100k area no matter the site. But the grades lower than that seem to vary depending on where they're being auctioned. Heritage just doesn't seem like a good place to send a high grade TMNT #1 that isn't a 9.8. Prices are down from the pandemic pump but Heritage prices seem to be dragging them even lower.
  2. Interesting. I’ve never noticed before. So maybe a good place to buy then even with the buyers premium. I’ve been trying to sell my 9.2 to downgrade since I don’t need a copy that high. But the last two 9.2s sold on Heritage have kind of tanked the price.
  3. So what’s the deal with Heritage? I feel like their TMNT auctions have been going low and screwing up the FMV. A 9.0 just sold on ComicConnect for $20k. A 9.2 signature series finished at $16,800 on Heritage today and that includes the 20% premium. What do you all think?
  4. Yeah it's hard to complain about the price being 6 figures. There's a 9.6, 9.4, and 9.2 SS ending later. I'm very curious about those.
  5. A 9.8 just ended on Heritage Live auction for $105,000 ($126,000 with Buyers Premium). That is $6,000 less than the one that went for $132,000 back on January 11th.
  6. That's exactly what I was about to say. If they're not yellow why bother? I can't imagine a ton of people want another label color.
  7. Thanks for the info. That is exactly how I imagine displaying mine. I'll have to keep my eyes out for that type of display. I feel like I could ask you about your collection for hours! So much good stuff in one picture.
  8. That looks awesome! I'm very curious about your setup. What do you have the #1-#4 books in? Is that a glass desk/case of some sort? I like the look of it and I've been trying to think of a better way to display my books.
  9. I just saw that CGC facilitators will be at Portsmouth mini-con to witness signatures. Missing this is going to be my biggest Turtles fandom regret.
  10. That looks to be about a 7.0 to my untrained eye. I'd just do a re-holder if the scuffed case is bothering you. I think a re-grade would fall under unlimited value and cost you hundreds of dollars.
  11. From a sellers point of view I wouldn't want to take on the responsibility of being the middle man. There's too much that could go wrong that I would get blamed for. It wouldn't be worth the bit of extra money to take on the liability. I'd do it for a friend like others have said. But couldn't take the risk with someone I don't know.
  12. THAT is absolutely incredible. I don't get jealous often but I am now. I'm not familiar with this print. What is the history behind it? I'd love to track one down someday.
  13. Oh wow! Those are awesome! I'd actually like to get a print of Lairds.
  14. Modern Magazine - 4 Books: Arrived 2/12 Scanned: 2/12 Received and SFG: 2/14
  15. So I actually got selected for tickets on Saturday. I entered the lottery a while back and now I won't be able to make the trip. This stinks. I just know Peter Laird is going to show up even though he's not officially announced. So there will be at least two more tickets going back into the pool for you guys that can still make it.
  16. No I submitted it as magazine. I just assumed it was always magazine due to it's size.
  17. I might misunderstand the question, but I just submitted a Last Ronin #1 first edition yesterday.
  18. Two weeks ago I flew across the country to pick this up ungraded! I pressed it and cleaned it then submitted it to CGC. It was delivered back to me today. I'm over the moon. I never thought I'd get one with this type of grade.
  19. I cleaned and pressed it and it was delivered back to me today! Great googily moogily it's better than I hoped.
  20. Yoooooooo! That’s a great grade (obviously). Congrats!! did you buy it to grade or have you owned it for a while? I’m always entertained by the stories behind the books.
  21. Congrats, man! It looks like you got a nice value bump from the grading. My UV book shipped today too!
  22. I just texted customer service. I opted to pay $5 for hi-res imaging with my Unlimited Value submission. That adds 10 days to the turn around time. So the "delay" is my own fault. It's not really a delay. I didn't notice the +10 days when I submitted. Doh!
  23. You gotta be kidding me? How in the world?
  24. It's always possible they could upcharge you if they determine your book is worth more than you declared it. But I only paid so much because I declared it's value at $20,000. It's a TMNT #1 first print that is in pretty decent shape.
  25. 1 Book Unlimited Value Dropped at UPS 1/30 Delivered/Scanned at CGC - 1/31 SFG -2/1 GEI - 2/2 G/QC - 2/5 On day 5 of an estimated 3 day turnaround. Starting to wonder what's going on. $700+ to grade a book and it's just sitting there.
