  1. Things were actually being put into their system on a consistent bases a few weeks ago. Yeah the whole process was taking more than their posted TAT but I was at least seeing them marked as received. Looking for older posts about a situation that is just happening now is irrelevant.
  2. Sent priority mail on 10/21 arrived at CGC on 10/26 due to the weekend and finally “received” on 12/1? Is this just the new norm or because of all the signatures they’ve been doing?
  3. Very insightful. I hope you reconsider but thank you for sharing. Maybe as others have said give it time, wait until after the holidays.
  4. Just curious what the consensus is on bagging slabs. I started doing this early on to keep them from getting scratched but now I’m wondering if it’s overkill.
  5. Right we’ve established I can have a temper and haven’t been the most thrilled with CGC lately. Congrats for jumping on, I’m sure there is plenty of room.
  6. I have a book that a friend sketched for me. He's not a well known artists and there no COA or signature to speak of. How would they grade something like that? Not really concerned about the number, but more curious as to the label etc. Thanks
  7. Highly doubtful but thanks for the suggestion.
  8. I disputed it was a printing error and someone from CGC had me send it back for additional evaluation. They still claim it's fade but depending on you talk to, some said that was impossible while others agreed with CGC. Doesn't matter now.
  9. Don’t even see how these two books relate but because of a few posts suddenly I’m the #%@&! I was wrong about the surfer book. I admitted I was wrong but still, people won’t let it go. on a FB I posted about a Spawn error book that CGC said was fade. I don’t agree and it was a popular opinion. But hey, someone saw fit to drag that here so whatever. Guess everyone agrees with CGC all the it. Got it.
  10. Real cool pulling stuff out if context from a FB post. Nice.
  11. Maybe you should stop and read what you’re talking about before posting on a FB thread. Had nothing to do with thr grade but the face that this was supposed to be an error book due to a printing error. They offered to look at it again and said the same thing.
  12. Not really seeing any spine ticks but i guess there is some color missing on the spine. The notes only mention the scuffing.
  13. Or maybe I was distracted by the milk mustache.
  14. So it’s not an expensive book, just one that was kind of special to me because I collected the run back in the day real time so when it ended I was a little gut punched over it. Anyway, I missed the scuffing which is quite severe because as I said in person it looked like her clothing. So yeah, I’m an eff up.
  15. Well as I said I didn’t think anything was wrong with the cover when I first looked at it. It’s the Sarah Michelle Geller “Got Milk” back and always thought the scuff was just part of the photograph.
  16. Sooooo.... I guess I owe CGC an apology. The book came back and I see the scuffing they are talking about and I can see why it got the 8.0. The scuffing was on the back which is black and I "suuuuppppoose" I thought it was part of the picture. I'll try and grab a clear shot tomorrow. I never manage to get quality shots of black covers in slabs with artificial light.
  17. Was edited but it rhymed with sticks.
  18. I don't post that often but thanks anyway for the tip.
  19. You guys are real . Of course they should be closed for Thanksgiving you Dolts! My point is it doesn't mattttttter...... Jesus.
  20. So this sort of thing happens but someone posts about grading concerns and they are crucified on here? They’re QC is a freaking joke! Not my book, by the way but it looks legit enough. Freaking pathetic
  21. Well darn, there goes the schedule! Turn around times were getting so good too. Heck, I can't evens ay that with a straight face.
  22. You know the expression about the honey pot? Tighter than that.
