Has anyone ever seen a #1? Any idea what these would go for in V/G?
Elflord is listed in the Overstreet Price Guide, it would be a great start to determine value.
They should have titled it "Gaylord"

we head back to bangkok today, then get on plane for 30 hours of flights to the US tomorrow!

till then, toodles
They have internet cafes all over Thailand.
Stay away from Patpong road if you want to see your kids more than every other weekend.

It's at the whim and indulgence of the forum admin, Architect. Saying something awkward or silly or stupid or funny usually works. It might happen tomorrow. It might happen in a year or two. It might never happen.
But be careful, you might get one you don't like....although I was able to get mine altered.
Something about cheese and flatulence as I recall.
mmmmm cheese

Thought you guys might get a kick out of this, found a CD by the band "Golden Smog" that had cover art that's a rip-off of a classic Pulp cover:

They are still the same books with the same provenance. I think the term "OO" is thrown around way to much. They ceased to be OO books the moment they were sold. Now they are just books with a solid history owned by someone who probably likes them the way they are. To each his own.
Respectfully disagree in the case of pedigrees and signature series. Every comic is owned temporarily, and the owner is a custodian. For pedigree comics with a provenance, the custodial responsibility can be argued to be more important than the circumstance of the owner of the moment. According to this argument, preserving the provenance and historical nature of a pedigree comic is a responsibility of the custodian. To those holding this view, pressing and creator signatures run counter to the custodial responsibility.
Would you really want a creator signature on a top census example of a rare GA comic from the Church collection?
Yes

WTF is cursed Pirate Girl? Is it Johnny Depp in Drag? Oh wait, he dressed in drag for three pirate movies.

Wonder Woman and the Star Riders is nearly impossible to find. There are at least three copies on eBay and all are going for more than $100 each. Mycomicshop.com has five copies with a VG going for $22.
You have found eight copies. I must need to bone up on what the word "impossible" means.
You're not going to bone up here are you?

Nice books, very nice......

Having fun with your collecting focus? Wish I could see the pics, but congrats anywho. If you're still finding 3 covers you weren't tracking all at once, you still have a long way to go...but that's the fun part.

Check out the gay Archie thread. (thumbs u
The first part of the thread where it was fun with me and the_black_hand, not the crappy part that comes after that.
You guys were funnier when I was a drunk.

Damnit, it takes 5 minutes to load each page out here and I have 33 more pages to go! I miss all the fun

Oh yea, I have that one already! Thanks though, jeez I'm forgetting which ones I have already!

It's mostly fellow boardies identifying new trooper books for me, it's slowed down a lot though. Mostly it's Cimm letting me know of Pulps with trooper covers. I haven't had a new comic identified in several months. I think my list for US comic trooper covers is about 90% completed.
Could you put that My Greatest Adventure #4 as an attachment so I can see it?
-
Oh, I've had books that had eluded me for years. Every book that's on my list pops up for sale now and again. The only constraint in completing my collection is price, rarity not so much.
What are you Reading now ..... other than comics ?
