  1. You're not alone on CGC screwing people over lately. Out of 15 books I have submitted, 5 of them are coming back as 9.0 or lower for "light spine stress" or "light stress to cover"... ...I think CGC is starting to scam people out of their money.
  2. I recently purchased a slabbed book from eBay which was graded 9.8 by C.G.C. back in 2008. The label for this issue is outdated and says that there is a "1st Cameo appearance" of a character but it has since been established as his "1st Full appearance", so my question is- does C.G.C.'s Reholder service also update the comics label with the newer, corrected, information? Or would I have to submit it using a different service? Thank you in advance for your time.
  3. That is correct Rob. If I'm not mistaken, I believe they press the comic first. As those have always been the first charges to appear after my submissions. (It's a little odd that they have books pressed before a signing, because during the signing it gets picked up, written on, moved around, etc. lol) And then they give it to CGC for the signings. After they are done signing it, they send it off to be graded and slabbed. Hope this helps! *I may be wrong they press first, I've actually never asked anyone before. But as I mentioned, it has always been the first charged payment for their services.
  4. Hey Jennifer, thanks for the response! Just to be clear, because I plan on submitting pretty soon, I should choose the closest variant I think it matches on the submission form page online, then leave a note in with the comics saying I was unsure exactly which to pick? But no matter what, the graders and others will know the proper labels? Sorry to ask so many questions, I like to be specific when sending in submissions. Thanks again!
  5. Hey Yos, the best way to board and bag your Ronin's are using a Golden Age bag, and cutting 3/4" off a magazine board. The fit like a perfectly shaped glove. A tad long, but the bag is long enough to still be able to tape them shut! Let me know what you think!!
  6. So, I was able to snag a copy of The Last Ronin #1 2nd Print 1:75 "Thank You' Exclusive (the foil and colors are amazing and I say better than most of the other Variants by any other artists), and I also have a copy of the 1:10 Eastman cover and I am wanting to submit for a couple of the Legends John Hancock's, but I have NO IDEA which Variant to pick for either of these copies lol. I see a Retailer Incentive A & B, but no idea if those are correct. No option for 2nd Prints either. Please help! Is it as simple as just choosing one of them, any of them, and then sending them in in hopes you guys don't get frustrated sorting them out and making sure they get the correct labels? Thanks in advance for any information! *Update: Just moments after, I believe I have finally learned that the "Retailer Incentive A" is in fact the Eastman 1:10 Cover. But still need help with the 1:75 Thank You Variant! -Chicago Joe
  7. Understood, and it wasn't you I was aiming at Coming down to being a good amount was more towards me thinking, should I definitely send in to try and get the blue label, should I take a bigger insurance policy for my personal collection and could this be in high demand for everything it is. Although I am not looking to part with it right now....everything has a price And yeah, there is only one other Qualified copy of SW 107 at a 7.0, and I found out this morning it was for NAME WRITTEN ON COVER IN MARKER. So as mentioned before, if there are more like this than no one is sending them in. So I think I could safely assume that this is for sure a one of a kind, as of right now. *Whether that makes this book $5k or $5, it's truly unique*
  8. Apologies to anyone other than that Ready Fire kid who I have ignored. I didn't realize that in my original post it would have given everyone the idea that I was only here asking about this because I thought I was going to get rich off this book LOL I have re-read it many times and had I not been the one to post this, I wouldn't have read this thinking anything other than the person was looking for info and that they sounded excited that they came across this book, which for the record had been sitting in a box along with 2k other comics for 15+ years untouched, and that it turned out to be a very rare find. Whether the person who posted it has thoughts that they could make some money or not, I didn't get the impression they were here solely to find out that they would get rich. There are millions of people who have collected books a long time that still get excited when they find truly unique books as this one, and to most of us true hobbyists, this is a incredible find. Especially being there are none other like it, and me being such a die hard Star Wars fan and comic book collector. I appreciate most of the responses in they gave some info about errors like this and some opinions on why they give green and not blue, and vice versa. That info is appreciated. All I wanted to know about this book was: The rarity. Now I know, that this is indeed the ONLY one of it's kind. There are no other Star Wars #107 with a Manufactured Printing Error like this. This was already a very low produced book to start, and with this error now makes it even more rare and unique. Value based on rarity. Would this type of error appreciate the value because of how rare this error is and because this had a low production? Many errors out there depending on what they are can be worth pennies or platinum. We all (should) know that if we've been around comics. I know people like to sound smart and love to be heard but that's common sense in this hobby. Why green instead of blue. There are plenty of examples out there from CGC that show the EXACT SAME notes, "MANUFACTURED WITH BLANK INTERIOR COVER" that have blue labels and not green. So I was wondering why or if anyone knew a couple specific things that made it green instead of blue. That's all really. Thanks for your time!
  9. How **** are you? ^^^ You wrote right there. IN PLURAL, "...Canadian GA books..." (THE "S" makes your word PLURAL, DERP!) So I responded...."...especially since you used a PLURAL indicating there are many more than just one, unlike this SW 107." ....because, you did use a plural when you asked about the many foreign "books" you had. So you're dishonest language, illteracy and trolling is appalling.
  10. I am not entirely sure, I was thinking about having it sent back in and taking a hit to the grade to get a blue label. It's such an awesome and unique error, I will probably keep as is and put it on my way next to my 9.8's. I mean, the only other 107 Qualified I found out from a friend who works for one of the major auction websites said that it had a name written on marker. So, if there are more out there like this one of this exact book, no one else seems to be sending them in. This would be my first green label to go on my wall!
