  1. @Lninefingers@timfinz@Mr. Zipper@scburdet@shadroch Grade is in! Universal 5.5 Off-White Pages Very happy It was cleaned and pressed before grading and guessing it got a key bump too! Grader's notes 1"" split bottom spine front cover 5"" crease left center of front cover breaks color very light fade to cover wear all corners of cover wear all edges of cover Thanks again for your input.
  2. Just picked this up last week. Small spine split at the bottom and first few leafs are detached at the bottom, hopefully the photos clearly show these issues. What do you guys think this might get? Thanks in advance!
  3. The clean and press definitely helped but I'm assuming CGC saw the corners as wear rather than bug chew which is absolutely fine with me
  4. @grendelbo@Lost@scburdet@1950's war comics Very happy with this one and did get it C&P in the end. 9.0 WHITE Grader's Notes very light creasing to cover very small tear bottom of back cover
  5. @Lninefingers@grendelbo@scburdet@1950's war comics Well I got my wish and got a higher grade than the copy I sold a while back! 9.2 OFF-WHITE TO WHITE Grader's Notes very light spine stress lines breaks color very light wear to cover
  6. @grendelbo@Lost@shadroch@grendel013@scburdet@1950's war comics I knew this copy was a beauty when I first saw it, perhaps my photos didn't do it justice as you were all way off! 8.5 OFF-WHITE Grader's Notes light cover tanning very light spine stress lines to cover very light wear to cover
  7. Thanks man. Always like it when people compare to their own copy, much appreciated
  8. That’s an awesome link, very entertaining look at the issue. Particularly liked the bit when is says about Superboy randomly blowing up a mountain
  9. I’m surprised to see someone say that low a grade. I understand why you think that though. I think the big chew is fairly minor so I’m hoping it won’t get dinged that much!
  10. Very excited to get this one. I have another copy but it’s a low grade raw. Plan to keep that as my reader and get this one slabbed. Maybe one day I can get a copy of the GA Prize Group issue 1 in as nice a condition as this What do you guys think this one might get and do you think I should get it pressed, as I’m always a bit wary about getting squarebound comics pressed. Thanks in advance
  11. Regrettably I sold my previous copy a few years ago which was a 7.0. Just got this copy and I’m fairly confident it’ll be a higher grade than my previous copy but what do you guys think? Thanks in advance
  12. Just got my hands on this very nice copy of Adventure Comics 283 (1st Zod and Phantom Zone). I'll definitely be sending it in but I think i'm getting a bit too excited about the great condition it is in. What grade do you kind folks think this one will get? Thanks in advance
  13. @FoggyNelson@scburdet@Point Five@grendelbo@1950's war comics@LowGradeBronze Only sent my latest submission in to CGC May so apologies for the delay in updating. Bit of a mixture of opinion on this one between a 2.0 and 4.0, I tempered my expectations and thought a 3.0 was realistic. Didn't get it C&P as it was already a bit fragile. 3.0 (Universal) Cream to Off-White Pages Grader's notes: multiple crease cover breaks color staining to cover tears to cover Thanks for the input everyone
  14. @LowGradeBronze@jcjames@1950's war comics@scburdet@TC33@Mars76@grendelbo@Golden Pete So apparently you're all bums and don't know what you're talking about This one completely threw me as I was expecting around a 3.0/3.5 and hoping for a 4.0 at best. I got it C&P and the grade . . . . 6.0 (Universal) Off-White to White Pages Grader's notes: sticker residue front & back cover top staple rusted & stains through book creasing to cover Needless to say i'm delighted with the grade but it does leave me with a bit of a dilemma. My current copy is a 5.0 UK Price Variant but I still think it presents more nicely than this copy. Was planning on selling a copy but it looks like i'm going to end up keeping both copies
  15. @LowGradeBronze@1950's war comics@Mars76@scburdet@JollyComics@Golden Pete@grendelbo Only sent my latest submission in to CGC May so apologies for the delay in updating. A few people got this one exactly right! 5.5 (Universal) Off-White to White Pages Grader's notes: price stamp creasing to cover spine stress lines to cover wear all corners of cover Also had this one C&P.
