It's been a very long time since my original posting, but CGC graded it 8.0 The pressing eliminated the indents from the inside cover signatures.

All too true. I sold an Albedo #2 for less than $400 once Life needs an Undo button. But definitely go on the high side for your asking price. Usagi Yojimbo is super hot right now and 9.8s are a scarce commoddity.

It's tough to gauge an exact price on a 9.8. The going rate for a 9.6 seems to be a little over $500. My rule of thumb for a 9.8 on a book like that is to double the price of a 9.6. That would put it around $1100. However... a 9.8 sold on Ebay in late May for $1999.00 With only 25 9.8s out there, I'd stay on the high side and try asking $1999.00 If nobody bites, you can always let potential buyers make you an offer.

That's awesome. I had to sell my Albedo 2 but I at least still have my cover art proof. Here's some info I found years ago about the proofs: I vaguely remember reading that some of the few existing ones were destroyed by a water leak in someone's basement. Stan's possibly? Or Gallacci? I'm not sure and I can't find any sign of where I read it.

Oh I only wish I'd been smart enough to buy a Cerebus #1 back in the day.

5.0 as it sits. 5.5 if you get it pressed. Not much value it seems though. One in much better shape just sold on Ebay for $4 with only one bid. A couple others in VF-NM condition sold for a little more. But not much.

I don't know about the grade, but I'd love to see Before & After photos of that book after pressing.

I tried to get a shot of the cover where you could see the indents from the signature, but couldn't get it to show up in a photo no matter the lighting or angle. Thank you for the grades. I'll try to remember to post the actual grade when it goes to CGC.

Getting things back to Albedo, I thought I'd post this image of an auction result I just found while poking around on the web. Auction from 2014 for a group of Albedo books, including the super rare #0 first printing with the yellow drafting table (only 50 copies). Not to mention a bunch of early Usagi Yojimbo appearances. Some lucky person got this lot for only $40.
