  1. That extra 3% is charged for payments made by credit card. If you pay for your order via check, money order or your bank account, you don't have to pay that additional 3%.
  2. Sometimes a pressing will help hide spine tics from the human eye and make the book look like a pristine 9.8. But then when the comic gets squeezed into that inner well during encapsulation, the pressure can cause those spine tics to reappear and become much more noticeable. The way a book is handled during encapsulation could possibly even cause non-color breaking spine tics to turn into color-breaking spine tics. Not saying that's what happened here, but I've seen examples of it from my own experiences.
  3. Had that happen with a couple of comics, but the damage was much less severe. The books were loose in the inner well and could slide around easily with just a shake.
  4. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that could be considered a double cover if the outer cover shows no evidence of actually having been attached to the book.
  5. 3.0 - 3.5 (with a press to minimize indentation marks)
