With all these complete collections, my drool cup overfloweth!

More recently acquired final issues. Some interesting tidbits about these - the Sensational is a newsie, the (New) Talent Showcase is Darwyn Cooke's 1st(?) published work, and the Showcase has a star stamp on it that I believe was discussed in another thread - a certain distributor, perhaps?

You're correct, of course! Somehow my brain slipped that into the pile. Whoopsie!

CGC’s OFFICIAL Mechanical Errors / Returns Policy

Mycomicshop states any scratches/scuffs/Newton Rings on the CGC slabbed books they offer for sale. -
Here's some of my recent Image newsstand purchases. All were 50 cents except the Spawn, which I think I paid maybe $4.00 for, tops.

Oh, I just got them because they were there, and cheap. I mean, "I got them for my collection." Because I'm a hoarder...uh, "collector." Yeah, that's the ticket!

More recent newsie acquisitions, all from after the year 2000, nearly all from dollar bins. And two are "final" issues!

...and some DC love. Got these all recently as well (I bargain bin dive A LOT). Gotta love that Manhunter homage to Spidey.

"So and so rumoured to play this," etc. I swear they just make stuff up like this for the clicks. I can come up with some pie-in-the-sky casting choice, tell somebody about it, and write an online article claiming there's a rumour about it. Screen Rant is one of the worst of the lot. Speaking of ranting... /rant

Moderns that are heating up on ebay!

I just recently found several newsstand copies of this run in the dollar bin Score! -
I typically have the same problem myself...you should (not) hear some of the rambling voicemails I've left for people

I subscribe to your theory - with zero proof/data - that more "kid-friendly", licensed, and/or more recognizable comics likely have higher newsstand print runs than other titles. This would also apply to surviving copies, due to people purchasing fewer copies of the lesser-known titles, and thus many of them being returned to the distributor. For example, there are probably currently more surviving issues of Superman from the year 2000 than there are of, say, Aquaman (not to knock Aquaman LOL).

Seems clear to me, folks. This person identified an issue where 1st and 2nd prints are being lumped together on the labels and in the census, instead of being correctly identified as different printings by CGC's professionals. I'm with the OP on this. If it's happening with this specific comic, who knows how many other slabbed books of other comics have also been misidentified, and are now on the market.

Are prices still climbing or have they eased up a bit???

It's definitely still a buyer's market out there. I recently purchased a raw Fantastic Four #48 in roughly 2.0 for $300. I had previously thought this book was going to be forever out of my reach. A couple of weeks ago I finally completed my Power Man collection with a raw Hero for Hire #1 in approximately 4.0 condition for about $150.
