Impressive that the graders remembered these specific books that did not have graders notes.

I buy signed copies as window dressing to a nice run or a limited series but I also always buy an unsigned copy as well. This way, if I ever decide to sell my collection, I dont have to worry about buyers being turned off by a book with writing on the cover. I know some folks dont like sigs unless certified.

That's super cool. It came today. It is the Ant Size variant...good call on that. The book is gorgeous and in pristine condition.

You all need to buy protection from CCS or the finger bend crime family will continue to terrorize you and your books. ^ Thats a joke Seriously though. Pressing books is the reason we have 9.8s with color breaks on the spine. You cant have a color break without a spine bend and those defects together should drop any book from the 9.8 level. But press out that bend and now you have a 9.8 with a color break. Im seeing 9.6s on Ebay with multiple color breaks on the spine. Meanwhile, I have probably 50 or more 9.6s in my collection and not a single color break on any of them...and most of these books were never pressed. Its maddening!

Unless theyre getting pressed, of course.

That makes sense. Let me ask you... What exactly is/was MZ Secret Wars? I have MZ Battleworld and I have MZ vs Age Of Ultron. I see these MZ Secret Wars variants all over Ebay. Is Secret Wars the same as Ultron and Battleworld?

I have been hunting MZ variants for a while now. I came across this Book on Ebay. Does anyone know what MZ series it belongs to, if any. The listing was very vague. It just said MZ#1 Donny Cates variant. I tried searching to the best of my abilities using Google but I can't find anything regarding this cover on the internet.

You guys stating how liberating it was to sell off your collections... I missed my childhood collection so much that I bought it again a few years ago. Now I sit at work and I cant wait to get home to my comics. I cant imagine ever selling them again. There are 2 hand written letters in my collection should God take me unexpectedly. The 1st letter details my collection...who gets it & what Ive paid for it w/receipts. The 2nd letter states which books I wanna be buried with.

Keep the Spider Man / X-Men books and sell the rest.

Damn, so to you... he is the 2nd worst artist in comic history? Ive only ever read or collected modern age comics. I dont know much about the artists from the old days. I do have some copper age stuff. Ive always enjoyed Zeck's work. Liefelds New Mutant covers were fantastic IMO and I loved X-Force and Youngblood. The 90s get far too much hate.

Ebay still sells bootleg DVDs by the buttload. The diff here is this seller is flat out stating these are not legit comics so I dont see it lasting very long. Grab em now if you want one.

I was 14 years old back then. Liefeld, Larsen, McFarlane, Lee, Portacio, Keith and the rest of the Image Comics roster will always be my favorites. I do know a lot of you guts hate Liefeld though but I'll always defend him.
