A 9.9 is a unicorn, nevermind a 10. I have 9.8s that are pristine so I'm not sure how anyone stands a chance at ever getting a 9.9 or 10.

Its getting more frustrating than ever to buy 9.8 slabs by looking at the provided pics on Ebay. There are so many flawed 9.8s these days. When I buy a 9.8, i dont want to see any flaws. Ive returned more 9.8s with color breaks and corner bends in 2022 than all of 2020 and 2021 combined and this is why I only buy from sellers that accept returns. It boggles my mind...I have 9.4s in my collection that look MUCH better than some 9.8s.

So a seller sent me an offer of $X for a set of books that are on my watch list. I low balled him back with a counter offer of $Z, hoping to meet somewhere around $Y. An hour or so later I click on the listing and it says "The seller has sent you an offer $Z" Im thinking: The thing is, theres no option for me to accept the offer. The sentence is just there...mocking me. "The seller has sent you an offer of $Z." Im guessing that Ebay sent me my own counter offer as if it came from the seller with no way to accept it...a glitch in the system is all I can figure.

I hold comic book funerals where I burn books that need to be put down. This one deserves a special service with a cold cut platter, at least. R.I.P.

I wonder if the book was a 9.6 prescreen...

I've done one crossover grading and it was Killing Joke 9.8 from the other guys that came back to me a CGC 9.8.

I dont think Ebay is on our side...theyve probably worked this all out with the govt. Adding your name to that Ebay petition is most likely nothing more than admitting that youve been made aware. A trick.

That was probably my graded copy. It's a CGC 9.8 with a chipped spine and it bugs the outta me. I'm thinking about getting my raw copy graded. I'm hoping for a 9.6 but I'm not sure how CGC will treat the line by the spine. I'm 99% sure it's a production issue. I don't see how it could be from anything else unless it's been pressed. I'm not the original owner so it's possible.

Its still #1 in my household.

It doesnt break color. Its just the lighting. There is a line on the inside of the cover as well but you dont feel it when you run a finger over it. I was thinking...production defect?
