  1. I use Diamond CGC mylar bags. You can get 60 bags for $35 on Ebay. They really make the slabs POP !
  2. Good morning. I have an order at CCS that passed the 8 month mark. I tried using the # to look it up but had no luck. Please look into it when you get a chance. Thanks! #CGC4853562346 (3 books - modern)
  3. Like you, I feel the need to only own NM books and it sucks Can't help it though, my brain is wired wrong. I see a crunched corner and shake my head in disgust. I watch movies, the actor is reading a comic and all I can think about is the damage he's doing to that poor book. Anyhow, you'll be back...and we'll all be here to welcome you!
  4. The crease on the outside of the front cover does not break color. The line on the inside does. I cant feel either with my finger. Do you think maybe it was some sort of printers crease that has been pressed out?
  5. Nice! Very convincing and I probably will end up grabbing a 9.6 if I can find one that looks nice. A lot of the copies I see have a weird shape. Truth is, I'm gonna end up leaving my collection to my daughter anyhow and I'd hate to have her curse me for not having a UF4 in there. 😆 She's 14 and her favorite Spidey movie is the 1st T. McGuire movie so I'm not so sure her generation is all in on Miles Morales. It's probably more the middle age collectors looking to 💰 in that are driving this frenzy. Kids aren't buying $1400 comics. I still don't see Miles Morales being a huge deal to the next generation...just my opinion.
  6. Meh, we're just chatting. I know who Elsa B is for what that's worth. I'd love for someone to convince me that Miles is a good investment and not all internet hype. I want to want a copy.
  7. I have no love for this book or the character so for me, its purely a $$$ decision. I love Spider Man (Peter Parker) To invest or not? If I do, it will likely be left for my children along with my other books as im 45 years old and dont plan on ever cashing out. I actually bought a UF4 CGC 9.6 on Ebay last year for $900 but I returned it because the book was warped in the slab and looked horrible. I dont regret that and im still more than willing to pay $1400 now for a sweet looking slabbed 9.6 copy. I may buy one but im just not sold on the idea that this book is going to keep on going up. Its already leaving NM98 in the dust. Its caught up with TWD1. Its approaching ASM 300 prices. Why would Miles Morales be bigger than Deadpool, Rick Grimes and Venom? Based on what?
  8. Toxin #4 Looking at the outside of the front cover, it looks like a crease. Can't feel it with my finger. Looking at the inside of the cover, it looks like a slice through the color. Book was advertised as a 9.6 or better The rest of the book looks like a 9.6 if not for the crease. Thoughts? Thanks!
  9. Maybe you packed them too well and it got dropped during the unpacking battle...
  10. I hear you but why is everyone selling instead of holding?...even for just another 5 years or until an actual live action Miles movie is made? There are maybe 4 copies of Walking Dead 1 (cgc 9.6) on Ebay. There are around 40 copies of UF4 (cgc 9.6) on Ebay and thats not counting the cgcSS copies available. Why are they trying to sell a book that everyone is so sure will be worth double in a few years?
  11. Id love someone to explain to me how the first app of Miles is ALREADY worth more than the first app of Deadpool or Venom (ASM 299) ?
  12. I guess I'll be that guy that misses out on a UF4 because I just don't feel the pressure to pick one up. I have a few 9.6s on my Ebay watch list but can't ever seem to pull the trigger. I saw the Spiderverse movie and it was fun but unless Marvel kills off Peter Parker I don't understand how Miles ever becomes iconic. The book is severely over priced right now and everyone is trying to sell them. How good of an investment could it be of everyone and their uncle is trying to sell their copy?
  13. It seems there is ZERO difference between "received at CCS" and "CCS in process". Im not very bright. i got all excited when my books moved from "received" to "in process". Apparently, the "process" of pressing a book takes more than 5 months. How about this?...how about leaving them marked as "received" until youre actually... LITERALLY... pressing them?
  14. There are BAZILLIONS of signed items in the world that were not witnessed by CGC. You have a Spidey #1 signed by McFarlane and thats pretty cool.
  15. If I have an issue with a seller and he refuses to meet in the middle or worse, I may leave negative feedback. Ive just never had that problem. Probably because I rarely buy from sellers with less than 100% positive feedback. I also want to add there are a few sellers on Ebay that are strutting around with 100% positive feedback only because I showed restraint. If you like putting <NM+ / PERFECT copy> in your description, you should know what it means.
  16. If you sell slabs that have Newton rings without listing it in the description...you should be the one listing your ebay seller name in this thread. I want to avoid having to waste my time returning it. I own prob 100 slabs and not a ring on any of them.
  17. Newton rings are a slab defect and that is a fact that shouldnt be argued at this point. Could you see it in the pics? Was it noted in the description? If no and no, you can return it through Ebay... NO PROBLEM. Ive sold slabs on Ebay and ive ALWAYS noted if there are newton rings because its the right thing to do. Id also like to add that I have NEVER left a seller negative feedback.
  18. An update, not that anyone cares Sellers with high grade copies are asking over $100 for a complete, raw set of the 6 issues. Im having a very hard time finding sets with copies of issues 4 and 5 that dont have bends and color breaks up and down the spines. There are also ZERO graded copies available for any issues other than #1, it seems. I found 1 set of 9.8s...way overpriced though. Im on the hunt and so far I have a #1 cgc 9.8... a #2 cgc 9.6 (signed by Crain) and a #3 cgc 9.8
  19. Is this a series worth picking up as a companion to the Lethal Protector and Maximum Carnage series. When I quit collecting comics only Venom and Carnage existed. Now there are symbiotes all over the place and I'm trying not to buy everything I come across. This series seems cool. Is it the next step after collecting the early Venom and Carnage stuff.
  20. So im the only dummy using resealable bags????
  21. I read the first page of this thread and I gently weep for anyone who can't watch an old movie like Casablanca and not enjoy it for what it was. And the 80s Batman movie is the best of all the Batman movies to this point!
  22. Warping in the case. This bothers me to no end. Books should be flat in the slab. I'm finding that most recently slabbed books suffer from this. It just looks horrible. I just had to crack one and see. It turned out to be the thin, inner well itself that was warped. I removed the inner well from the slab and it wouldn't lay flat on the table. After I took the book out of the inner well...the book did lay flat on the table. I guess that's a positive but it wasn't in the slab more than a few months. Who knows what happens to the shape of a book if it's in a warped well for 10 years...i guess it'd need a press to be flat again, at least.
