  1. Is this an actual comic or a digital book? Is it a one shot and a series or wha? Im trying to fill all the annoying gaps in my Marvel Zombies collection. Thanks!
  2. "How much complaining can you do? Eventually they find you with a broken hip." ~Livia Soprano Seriously though...its the %#@$-offs sending in 200 books at a time that caused all these issues. CGC was not created to slab a book that came out last week. SMH
  3. Well, they have to fit in modern size bags. I put my Image books in them...they fit perfectly.
  4. So I purchased Ultra Pro boards on Ebay and got these instead. The seller offered to refund the difference in price ($4) but are these even any good? I've never heard of the company.
  5. Wavy pages bother me but I've been told it's the paper. I see new releases on the shelf with wavy pages and it makes my stomach hurt.
  6. I don't know if this damage was pre or post grade but the book is too beautiful to say it's over graded IMO. I didn't take pics of it raw or make any notes on any of em. I just sent em in. I had a 9.6 Lethal Protector 1 with similar damage to the bottom corner.
  7. I'm not gonna sell anytime soon. I'm thinking, maybe 10 years or so down the road, I'll fresh slab all my books (my collection isn't very large) and have a few pressed and re-graded in the process. This ASM300 is my baby, my pride and joy. I didn't have any of my books pressed when I sent in my first ever batch and there are a few that, I think, could get a nice bump. My ASM316 is a gorgeous 9.4 with pretty much identical grader notes to the 300. Let me ask you...am I correct in thinking books should get a fresh slab every decade or so? I change the bags/boards on my raws every 5 years or so. I figured slabs aren't much different.
  8. Wow...so the graders notes dont even mention that corner bend unless im reading them wrong: -Light creasing to cover -Light scuffing to cover -Light spine stress lines to cover
  9. Ill have to get the number off the slab after work so I can search for the notes. It was graded so long ago that they are not readily available. From what I remember it was mostly finger bends. Ill post the grader notes asap. Oh and the pages are OW to W. Im not sure if that affects the grade too. Thanks.
  10. I had this ASM 300 graded around 5 years back without a press and I'm thinking of doing a crack, press and regrade. So this bend in the pic is more noticeable on the back cover. It's the top corner, spine side. It does travel through all the pages and is extremely light on the front cover. There is no color break and it's a 9.0 with no other obvious major defects. I don't want to go through the process if it only gets a bump to 9.2 so tell me what you think, please. Can I possibly get to a 9.4?
  11. The lighting may make it look like there are color breaks but there are none. It's the front and back covers and some of the inner pages...they are dented. Maybe it was dropped and landed on someting? I don't know how it happened but the book is otherwise perfect. Is this something a press can repair Thanks
  12. I buy the facsimiles of high value books I've had graded. if I ever need to sell em it's a nice little cherry on top to attract buyers.
  13. Someone's got a little extra foldin' money...
  14. OP here. Happy to report 1 of my books has been shipped out. It was a cross grading of a 9.8 from that other grading company. Came back a CGC 9.8 so I'm happy bout that. The other books are still marked as "received by CCS". So...almost 7 months now. I've managed to stay alive and out of prison so there's that.
  15. These threads give me funny feelings in my stomach. I feel bad... but he came out so strong and confident that I also wanna laugh. And then I feel bad again.
  16. Okay so my WK package has been delivered and CGC says it is sitting in a secure area until it's opened. Can you tell me what the timeframe should be from this point on? Appreciate it.
  17. That is indescribably beautiful.
  18. I traded a pack of Now And Laters for a Wolverine(Patch) 1 in 6th grade. I remember the feeling. Pure adrenaline! But I also sold Spider Man 150 through 200 at a yard sale for $1 each that same year. Probably to one of you geezers!
  19. Its all fun and games till youre 9.8 copy of X-Force 1 ends up in one of those "benefits charity" auctions...
  20. Well, yes but maybe...no? Since CGC does not charge your credit card right away...lets say I die and my credit cards are shut down before CGC gets around to charging for the services. In this situation there will be no one for CGC to contact and no credit card to charge so the books will never be shipped out. Does CGC have employee raffles for these books?
  21. Yeah, I dont get some of these sales. That X Men gatefold is all over Ebay for half that cost in NM condition.
  22. I have a few with scuffs and scratches. I will eventually re slab them but they are brand new slabs and it would be a waste to re slab them now. Ill wait 5-10 years for the slabs to age and then re slab to fresh cases.
