  1. Anyone who is spending that kind of money on a book will do their research first and figure out the authentic copies from the fake or reprinted ones. I highly doubt the book will sell
  2. They were generally tougher on PQ for old label grades. That's true as well for the 1st gen labels, but I have resubmitted books in newer labels just a few months apart to get pressed, and the PQ changed from white to offwhite-white and another from cream-offwhite to offwhite.
  3. Absolutely a gorgeous 8.5 copy. Between the two 8.5 copies, this I think is the better looking one. Love the colors and white colored covers with no tanning. So if this book was just re-holdered, why did the PQ change from offwhite-white to white? I thought if a book is re-holdered, nothing is changed from the old label. Funny how the PQ got better overtime too . This absolutely proves once again (to all the naysayers) that PQ can change for better or worse if that same book is re-graded or in this instance, re-holdered. It's all based on opinion I guess.
  4. Not sure how this was freshly graded. The book was graded in 2017. I'm guessing it was just simply re-holdered?
  5. Incredible feat and accomplishment, well done! Now I know why you are Mr. RareHighGrade!
  6. The CGC 5.5 sold for higher at CC last year I believe for $70k+. The brittle paged copy 4.5 i believe sold less than what it did last time it sold.
  7. Was shocked too at that price. I believe my max bid was around $23k. When I saw the final hammer price I was just
  8. I had the Cap 1 CGC 3.0 valued at $120k max. Book sold aggressively considering there is tape in the interior pages. And you know how tape does overtime affecting the pages...
  9. A dealer at last year's SDCC sold a DD #1 CGC 9.8 for something like $800k. Whoever paid that price took a bath too big time!
  10. Yup! I expected to go for at least $100k
  11. Beautiful copy Prof X. Looks way better than the assigned grade. I didn't check the notes on it yet but my guess is possibly some staining somewhere. Yeah the gold label does seem to kinda stain the cover of the book. Tough to find pure white covered copies. Most are yellowed/tanned from what I can see. Congrats with the nice pickup!
  12. Thanks man! Yeah I was picky about buying my copies. I wanted to make sure there is no marvel chipping, no yellowing or tanning on the covers, no writing, etc. Yeah, I don't think colors are affected whether it's a lime green or dark green colored box. It's possible that one of the greens is a 1st print, but I guess no one can prove which one or if it really is true. So, why not just own both variations
  13. RIP Bob B. Another old school collector/dealer done with so much knowledge of the hobby. I know he had some controversial posts, but it doesn't take away the rich history he has when dealing with comics. They were practically his life! I wish he wrote a book or have some journal entries about his journey as a comic book collector/dealer. I would love to read about his experiences. I did buy a Tec 35 restored FN/VF condition from him back in 2007. He gave me a fair price for it. Sadly, I sold the book years ago to upgrade for an unrestored copy.
  14. No bids for the Flash Comics Ashcan book. Like the first time around, looks like it will remain unsold
  15. I think it's valued between $200k-$250k. I'd be shocked if it went for more. If I had the money, i wouldn't want to pay that price for a GSX #1. There might be more 9.9's coming out sooner rather than later and will definitely decrease the value of the first 9.9 that was graded. Too much of a gamble, but to each their own.
  16. Loved every minute of both episodes thus far. 10/10!!! Greatest thing Marvel has done in quite sometime! Can't wait for episode 3 tomorrow!
  17. Here are my copies. One dark green box, the other lime green.
  18. I feel that with the new label notes for Supes #1, first printing might get a slight premium in value while second and third might remain the same value as how it is. For me personally, yeah it's cool if I owned a first print, but I wouldn't mind if I had say a second or third print...
