  1. I have read many of the books. Even those that I never read; I at least looked at every page, enjoying the artwork and the ads. My favorites varied from year to year. Initially probably Superman was the one I liked the best. Then my favorite's universe grew to include almost everything as I discovered it for the first time. Particular favorites I still remember: Batman, Starman (I loved Jack Burnley), Sandman (Simon & Kirby especially), Newsboy Legion, Captain America. Always liked well written/illustrated funny animal stuff, I liked discovering publishers I was totally unfamiliar with like Fox and Centaur. It was all a blast! Thanks for the response. I agree 100% that books I'm not familiar with would be very interesting to read. I wish I can enjoy seeing the artwork, ads, and the content if only I have more books. I guess I take a chance and buy books I dont collect... Well maybe after I complete my run first.
  2. Or you can showcase off that Tec 27 you have
  3. Sweet books!!!! Im just druling my mouth off!! Love those early tec books. Have you read any of the books you have bangz? If so, which was your favorite book to read or books? Im sure it would take a long long time to read all those books.
  4. Heck, count us all in to help bag and board + do an inventory + grade + help set-up your entire collection.. What ya say?
  5. I'm a little short on breath. I don't think I can get back up the stairs. I can't stop looking at this collection.. This can very well be the 2nd best comic collection behind the Mile High. Heck, call this one the Mile High 2 collection.
  6. hello all... BZ, absolutely STUNNING...impressive, unbelievable, etc, are not strong enough adjectives.... may I be so bold as to ask this of you...INVITE ME OVER FOR SOME GEEKING! what do you say, party at BZ house? rick Damn, I wanna go too!! Lemme know and I'll buy my plane ticket over
  7. Don't worry, it's been bought already. I know who owns it now. hello all... didn't Primetime buy/trade it at Wondercon a few weeks ago? rick Yes, I did and it's getting slabbed right now... Ahh, let us know what grade it received. Good luck with that and I hope you get a good grade on it.
  8. Don't worry, it's been bought already. I know who owns it now. hello all... didn't Primetime buy/trade it at Wondercon a few weeks ago? rick Yea.. He traded some key SA and GA books for it
  9. Don't worry, it's been bought already. I know who owns it now.
  10. Fabulous books!! Keep the other 35 until next year, then sell it to me. Haha, we'll see. I'll let you know if ever I decide to sell it.. Or I'm willing to trade it for your Det. 27
  11. Oh my God. What does it look like? In preparation of the inevitable scan, I'm installing a seat belt on my desk chair. I put a crash helmet on. I am going to need it. I'm gonna have a couple of paramedics next to me and an inhaler.
  12. Oh my God. What does it look like? Yes please post the Detective 27 asap
  13. mini in number only, dk; great looking stuff. Thanks Billy Parker.. It's still in the works.. Looking to expand the collection more
  14. Here is a pic of my Tec books.. Also posted in the GA group shot section:
  15. I'd thought I'd post my mini GA group shot which is still in the works:
  16. Yea, I did see that "D" mark on it.. This could be called the 2nd "D" Copy collection or pedigree.
  17. I'm wondering if this new discovered collection has any markings that distinguishes these books from the rest of other pedigree collections. Mind if you can answer that Glen.
  18. I must respectfully, but whole-heartedly disagree. Hes Right. MF52 isnt a grandaddy. Its a Daddy ! Certainly more important than Tec 29 and Much more valuable too! Even if I'm a Tec guy, I'd have to agree with you and with Rick and Bill on this one. MF 52 certainly is a "bigger key" and certainly more important then Tec 29. It's the first appearance of the Spectre vs. Batman's 2nd cover..
  19. I'd take the Marvel #1 because I don't collect OA
  20. ........ ........ Congrats, it really doesn't get any better that a TEC 27, a book that most of us could never dream of owning. Incredible book & a fantastic pickup! Congrats Bill on the pickup.. Definitely my grail of all comic books! Definitely worth selling your tecs to obtain this key
  21. I would too. If for some reason you need to sell the Tec 37, please let me be first on your list .. I still need a copy for myself
  22. THat includes me too.. I've been looking at that 36 and especially the 37 for a while and wondered if I should pull the trigger or not. Oh well, at least I know who it went to. Nice pickup 1koko
  23. For such an important auction, you would think the seller would have taken a little more care in writing his description. Makes me question whether it is legit. Yea, it is quite suspicious especially for someone who sells mostly VHS tapes on ebay. The price seems extremely high also. But he is indeed a power seller and has 662 feedback.. But who knows if it's legit.
  24. I'm not sure whether that post was being facetious or not, but as someone who's made a living as a contrarian, I agree 100%. I wouldn't be buying a Detective #28-#37 right now with someone else's money (much less my own). I couldn't agree more. I will wait till the craze dies and the next one starts (Action War Covers) and pick them up then. Too late.. I'm already sucked in because of the craze... I made that comment because I have a lot of competition who are looking for the same books as I am. Thus, it will make it even more tougher for me to acquire the books I want.
