  2. Like Batman? Sure, Batman has some great covers... But i was thinking more in the lines of MMC, MFC, etc.
  3. Too much competition fighting for early Tec books.. blahhh.. Come on guys, there are other GA books with nice covers to focus on.
  4. Sweet set of books CoolJ.. I've seen that Tec 29 before from someone else.
  5. Wow, great set of books Rick. Cant wait to see the rest of em
  6. Hello people, If anyone's interested in another Tec 35, I'm selling my restored copy in the "For Sale" section. Check it out if you haven't yet.
  7. Speaking of fantastic covers....this "pair of blue jeans" arrived today.. Nice pair of "blue jeans." I guess you like them vintage style. Wanna trade for my pair of blue jeans?
  8. Yea, I saw that poor Tec 35.. COngrats on the nice pickup SS!
  9. I need 28, 31 and 33..........I am only concerned with finding the 28 ( unrestored is the challenge ) Yea, 28 will be tough.. You have an unrestored 36 and 37!?!? If so, please do tell the details.
  10. Ohh, so you were the one who bought Rick's 5.0 copy.. Def. a gorgeous looking book!!! I'm jealous! So, what other issues do you need? I know you already have a 29.
  11. Can you post up a scan for all to see?
  12. hello all... I would go with unrestored, in the 8.0 region...... rick I'd love to see an unrestored Tec 35 higher than the Crippen copy
  13. hello all... I am sure Brian will chime in, but he posted in another thread? that he had gotten an 8.0 restored, to go along with his unrestored Metro purchase (the right one, "S" copy)...I think the unrestored one is in the vg/vg+ range, due to spine split?...but both are beauts! I just love those early Tec's! rick Don't have a problem with restoration as long as it is fully disclosed when it comes to a book like this. Especially considering that it is probably the only way that I would ever be able to afford one at this point in time. Extensive or slight restoration? Thanks for the kind posts guys.. I thought you'd like to see em.. I wanted to be like Rick for a day or for more than a day because he had 2 Tec 35's at one point .. But anyways, the book is either moderate or extensively restored, but I'll go with extensive just in case.. I do have the details of the restoration.. Anyways, my restored Tec 35 is offered for sale if anyone's interested.
  14. Hey DK; Looks like a couple of real nice copies! Is the one on the right one of those "Black S" copies that generally shows up in unrestored HG condition? Now that you have two copies, would one of them be available for sale to another less fortunate board member? Hey Lou_Fine.. The "Black S" copy is unrestored and in mid-grade condition due to the spine split.. Actually the restored one is the one I'm selling.. PM me if interested. I'm always here to help a board member out. Brian
  15. Hey guys, Just thought I'd share this with yea
  16. Congrats! Very nice pickup! Congrats on a nice purchase!
  17. Oh by the way... I don't know if anyone else is interested in a Tec 35? I will be getting an extra copy soon, but hopefully looking to trade it for either one or a couple of these books: Batman 1, Tec 33, 36, 37. It's an extensively restored 8.0. My 2nd option is to maybe sell it.
  18. I'm sure you do.. I would too I don't know, I think even at $10,500, it's still a little pricey. The Crippen CGC 4.0 sold for just $7,800. I would think that a 4.5 would be around $9k-$9500. Just my thinking. I could be wrong of course. Use that sale as a bargaining point with Steve, I'm sure it will be effective! J/K Steve! I know huh. It seems like the price won't budge at all. Have you guys ever tried bargaining with him?

  20. Not, yet...$10,500 hello all.. that is actually a pretty good price on a 4.5...the last one sold via clink for $11,500...so, it is like a $1K discount...the cheapest I would consider selling my 4.5 is $10K, if the right package deal came along, and I am not really interested in selling, so that is something to consider rick I inquired Vincent about the book and he told me he was selling it for $11k. I guess the price dropped by $500 since then? I def. need a Tec 33 in my collection, but even with $10,500.. It's still darn expensive!?!?
  21. ummm....I know!....did anyone notice that a #33 was missing from metro's inventory, too.... Yeah, it was an unrestored 5.5 Tec 33 which I believe was sold. I wonder how much it sold for. I hear they sold it for $100,000. That's the word on the street. S WOw, what a price!!!

  23. That's hilarious. I saw that book last night and thought to myself "decent price" and almost made an impulse buy. Seems to happen every other day lately. Yah, just like the Marvel 5 swipe! So I heard. Does anyone have a pic or know the grade of the Marvel 5?
  24. yeah thats true, a gd/vg is neat as well. I dunno, I guess it all depends on how the book presents itself structurally
