  1. Just saw the movie yesterday....simply put I loved it and Quicksilver was the star
  2. Just received a Avengers #1...everything as described, smooth transaction. Thanks
  3. Not the best image from the ebay seller but.....
  4. Please call me when you do. There are a couple of L&R #1 ashcans on eBay right now.... The cheapest one that I found was $499.99. Is that price anywhere near what this book is worth? I have a copy, but I know I paid nowhere near that amount. I have seen them sell for less at auction. They do go for a couple hundred dollars pretty consistently though. The $499 one has been there a while. One sold for $100 on Ebay last week....didn't see what grade it was in but certainly that's a lot cheaper than the crazy BIN prices floating around
  5. I don't know why I bought this....impulse buy for sure but the cover tickeled me
  6. pretty safe bet the book will appreciate at a better than current rate of inflation but one would need to watch the market, as that could change a few years down the road (Thumbs u Past history shows the book has appreciated in all grades. The higher the grade, the larger the appreciation. I would say MANNUP and buy the highest grade you can reasonably afford. I would suggest that a 7.5 grade might be the best bet, keeping it at the top of a mid-grade level. Just MHO. Better start saving now then
  7. Dear G.A.tor, I am a budget minded collector but I like the idea of long term holding of key book that could potentially be used to help supliment college funds etc for the kids (I can't save money, I have tried) . If I were to be able to scrape up enough funds to buy say a copy of Amazing spiderman #1 cgc 5.5 or cgc 6.0 condition do you think I would notice any appreciable gains over say the next 10 years or do I have to shoot for the stars and buy a higher grade copy???
  8. that bedrock is so dreamy Richie gave Donnie and David a run for their money back in the day. OMG...he is dreamy
  9. See that's the difference...I am waiting on truly special Silver age hard to find keys not that drek your always posting
  10. Nobody wants that garbage MR.9.8.... Oh while I am posting here....look what I was able to find while searching the B/S/T.....my latest purchase
  11. I was waiting to take group shots when I had built a little better collection of Silver Age books but it's slow going with my focus on a bronze age key set so you will just have to bare with me
  12. Don't see that book everyday....I think I am going to have to add this to my list of bronze age keys I still need
  13. I started reading this thread and looking at all of the amazing photo's and when I got to page 41 I decided to see how many more there were.....holy .....943 pages No way I have time to go through that many in my lifetime...I need a cliff notes version of the thread with key images
  14. A few more additions to my bronze age key collection...a bit lower grade wise then I would have liked to have added but sometimes you just have to grab then when the price is right and worry about upgrading later All Star Western CGC 8.0 Iron Man #55 CGC 8.5
  15. Gray area but I consider this a bronze age book, not sure what the board consensus is.... I couldn't decide if this was a key book to pick up or not but I thought I would grab a copy just in case while the prices are still pretty cheap for 9.8's....I always seem to be a day late and a dollar short when books decide to take off like GL 76
