  1. Recently CGC comics have announced the Marvel labels that look amazing! Is this something that could transfer over to trading cards? As the biggest issue people in the trading card community seem to have is the look of the label.
  2. I have set up a middleman service sending cards from the UK exclusively to CGC for grading. Website will be live later this month, please register your interest at www.tcgrading.net
  3. I am Setting up a middleman service in the UK due to go live later this month shipping exclusively to CGC. www.tcgrading.net if you wish to be kept updated.
  4. I have looked at the terms & conditions regards to compensation if damage happens while at CGC and it reads as follows: In the event that a Company determines that a collectible is damaged due to negligence or lost while in a Company’s possession, Customer’s sole remedy will be compensation based upon the Company’s good faith determination of the fair market value of the collectible, in light of what the Company believes to be reliable current market information. The amount of the compensation will not necessarily be based upon, but in no event will exceed, Customer’s stated declared value of the collectible set forth in the Submission Form. This raises more questions.... Does this mean that if a Customer declares a raw value that CGC will not compensate greater than that value despite that the damage may of resulted in it losing graded value. Charizard Holo Base Set Unlimited (Raw value $300): Predicted: 9 – Value $1600 Received: 6 – Value $380 Price difference of $1220 I think this needs clarification as to whether declared value is estimated graded value or raw value.... as the Terms and conditions doesn't answer this clearly. Could you please clarify this?
  5. So In my case my Insurance company is willing to cover double the value of the raw card on the return journey so would it then be double the raw value that I would need to quote? I thought it was for your insurance while it was in processing (in case it was lost or damage arfter receipt)
  6. CGC show maximum card values that can be submitted dependant on the service level they are submitted at. But it is not a 100% clear whether this value is the Raw value or the potential graded value... which is it?
  7. I have now seen also someone demonstrate that even once cracked that it is evident and if they were to be resealed it would be identifiable. It might be an idea for your PR department to put out a statement with a video on how to identify tampered cases... just an idea.
  8. I have seen alot on youtube recently about CGC trading card cases being easy to crack. I am wanting to know if this is an isolated batch or whether this is a more serious issue that CGC are looking in to? As someone looking to facilitate card grading from the UK it is very important I know this before I can start sending cards for grading.
  9. I have seen a few videos lately regarding the CGC Trading card cases saying some have proven easy to crack open and then reseal whilst showing little to no sign of tampering. As someone looking to back CGC and support them through my own business this is worrying. Was this just a bad batch? Also have this been or is it being rectified? Kind regards Daniel Crouch
  10. When you submit a card to CGC and you want an OC grade do you have to submit it as an error or will it get that without being submitted as an error?
  11. When you submit a card to CGC and you want an OC grade do you have to submit it as an error or will it get that without being submitted as an error?
  12. Will CGC expand the trading cards they grade in the future, such as yugioh and dragon ball Z as both these games are very popular along with new trading card games to hit the market?
  13. I would like to help facilitate fellow collectors sending their trading cards to CGC as at present in the UK PSA have a monopoly on card grading as they have UK affiliates. Does CGC run a similar program and if so what are the requirements?
