  1. Maybe the moderators can do a poll to find out what is best for consumers and customer awareness about the receiving process and charging of the cards before grading is complete (I know it has been stated multiple times it isn't charged until graded, but that does not seem to be the case consistently- can show previous purchase charged vs shipped if need be but another poll would demonstrate it amongst a larger sample size. Regardless, as it is, the current method seems neither accurate nor precise so what can we do to improve it.
  2. Yes, I know. "Now I have the option of 1) Waiting.... for either CGC to grade Topsun (which they may never do) or wait for PSA/BGS to recognize ink errors. 2) Resubmit to PSA for the price I originally bought the card for many years ago, while hassling and hoping they grade appropriately. 3) Store this away for eternity hoping somebody realizes its rarity. 4) Any other idea y'all have."
  3. Because forums invite discussion, my background and fascination in Pokemon started 22 years ago. I have every Charizard (except the recent Japanese Tournament Rainbow Charizard Promo) and have graded with PSA, BGS, and CGC. CGC is my personal favorite because it is consistent and matches my graded comics and gameboy game boxes. My current dilemma is I have a No number Charizard graded a PSA 7 (pictures below), that was knocked for a surface imperfection. However, I don't know what to do with this card because it should have graded higher. Even with CGC it would get 8.5 minimum because the surface imperfection would have been logged and recognized as an ink error (1/16 inch yellow circle at top left on front of card). Now I have the option of 1) Waiting.... for either CGC to grade Topsun or PSA/BGS to recognize ink errors. 2) Resubmit to PSA for the price I originally bought the card for many years ago, while hassling and hoping they grade appropriately. 3) Store this away for eternity hoping somebody realizes its rarity. 4) Any other idea y'all have.
  4. It seems that a more accurate turnaround should include delay in "receiving" a delivery that is at the residence of business. Generally, it is better to overestimate turnaround and people end up getting cards earlier than have hidden delays. My package was delivered 11/09/2020. "Received 11/19/2020. 11 days, 9 business days is a nontrivial amount of time and considerable percentage of entire turnaround (delay in "received" was 30% at the time of submission, now 18% of total turnaround time). Still believe CGC has great potential, hoping small changes are made to follow continuous improvement.
  5. Additionally, remember the turnaround times are estimates. I do wish the company would incorporate the delay of "receiving" a package into the turnaround estimate to provide a more accurate transaction. Seems odd it can be "delivered" for an unlimited number of days before starting the process. In the current process, the company should always be able to make the turnaround times by further increasing the delay of being marked "received".
  6. Is there an estimated time limit through each stage? Think a few renovations and a little innovation could transform this company to being the top tier in card grading too.
