  1. I don’t know if it’s common knowledge, but Trina Robbins (used to be known as Trina Petit) and Heidi Saha were inspirations to Vampirella. I don’t know how she felt about that though as I have been informed she would not answer questions regarding Forrest Ackerman in interviews.
  2. It’s being reported that Trina Robbins has passed away.
  3. Been so long since I posted in this thread I started so I figured I'd post something. Sadly Justin Green passed away on the 23rd of April. Seems there's still a lot of interest in the Ebon comic book. Seems the prices are still high for this one. I didn't think the Freak Brothers animated series was that bad, either did others because it's been renewed for a 2nd season. Hello all...
  4. S. Clay Wilson passed away yesterday, posted by his wife Lorainne today on facebook.
  5. Was wondering why I hadn't seen Frank Stack posting for months now and checked on this facebook pages to see people posting that they hoped his eyesight would return soon. Anyone know what happened?
  6. So the R. Crumb personal signed copy of Zap Comix #1 (Plymell) sold for $27k yesterday. The Slow Death #2 (Silver) sold for $1,440.
  7. From Dona Corben: It is with great sorrow and loss that I must share the sad news that Richard Corben died Dec 2, 2020 following heart surgery. He will be missed tremendously by his family, his friends, and his fans. Richard was very appreciative of the love for his art that was shown by you, his fans. Your support over the decades meant a great deal to him. He tried to repay your support by working diligently on each piece of art going out to you. Although Richard has left us, his work will live on and his memory will live always in our hearts. I will continue to conduct sales of Richard’s art through the Corben Studios website at corbencomicart.com. I will also be managing the ongoing process of publishing his work internationally. Please give me and my family a little time to collect ourselves and we’ll get back with you in 2021. Dona Corben
  8. Just read that Nicola Cuti passed away on the 20th of February this year. While he didn't make much of an impact to Underground Comix, his Moonchild series made me remember his name, and First's E-Man series from the Comic Books of the 80's that I used to collect makes me recall his name for the high school period of my life. Makes me all the happier I purchased a copy of the Monnchild series he reprinted into one book several years ago.
  9. Read that David “Dave” Geiser passed away suddenly in his sleep on Wednesday the 14th of this month, he was 72. He was married to actress Mercedes Ruehl and they had one son together.
  10. Chuck's latest newsletter says he's finally going to be listing Undergrounds at Mile High. Here's a video someone shared on facebook that may be of interest.
  11. Just came across this recent one today. A 2020 sequel to the 1979 Hyper Comics. Stiles sadly passed away this year. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08F6Y3V3D/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
  12. It jumps from part 1 to part 4, where's part 2? Part 3 seems to be posted, but you have to search for it, but no part 2.
  13. Check the Fogel's Underground Comix group on facebook, post by Lyd Max.
  14. I just saw that Arnie's kid is posting Undergrounds selling them for his father on facebook. Anyone know what's up with that? Is Arnie doing OK?
  15. With the FB series coming out soon on Netflix and this particular special copy, I'm surprised I saw this listed on eBay and it's been there for a week. Guess these are tough times? Arnie, weren't you looking for a copy of this? Or did nobody notice? ComixJoint may have not since he didn't put it in the description, as I would think that would be a definite selling point. Or maybe it'll be gone next time I check? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Fabulous-Furry-Freak-Brothers-1-1st-Printing-1971-CGC-8-0-Top-25-All-Time/143644342860?hash=item2171deba4c:g:MlEAAOSwc2le-S21
