  2. Man, I feel like yours flew through, relative to a lot of the early-Dec submissions.
  3. Should be soon for you! I was received on 12/3 and just went to scheduled for grading. 17-card econ submission, with no sub-grades.

  7. @RRockstaRR - Based on my experience (in late Nov/early Dec) it took them about a week to officially receive it into their system. Most folks seem to report anywhere between 3-10 business days.

  9. Sorry, @Yeahiwasder4dat -- just realized that I still have my Fossils at home. I sent in base set, some of which for sure have similar silvering to your Snorlax. I'll let you know what they come back with.
  10. 17-card, Economy submission, no subs Delivered (to CGC's PO Box): 11/24/2020 Receipt by CGC: 12/03/2020 Current: Received Business day count: 27 (excl. 12/3; 12/24-25; 1/1).

  12. I sent 4-5 in as well. I'll let you know how it goes once I get through grading (Econ; delivered 11/24; received 12/3; currently "Received").
  13. @LDarkseid1 Just my two cents: I'd get every card into a penny sleeve prior to putting it into a top-loader or Card Saver -- particularly those with holograms.
  14. Good to know (I've yet to complete an entire grading process). Maybe a mod can help provide some guidance on "in process" and what that might mean at various intervals.
  15. Hi LTN, FWIW, I'm no expert (so folks, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). Question 1: You just printed the packing slip which should be included in the box and only serves to list what you've included/what CGC is expecting. I'd also include additional copies of the packing slip if you're submitting multiple bundles in the same outer box (e.g., a group of cards you'd like graded via economy; a separate group that you'd like graded express, etc.). What you'll need to ship the cards is a separate shipping label, purchased directly through your shipping carrier of choice (FedEx, USPS, UPS, etc.). CGC only takes care of shipping the cards back to you (based on the option you chose during your submission form/checkout. Question 2: I was confused about this as well -- I didn't know what the "Max. Value per Item" was on their pricing page, and how it compared to the declared value field on the submission form. After speaking with support, I was told that they are one in the same, and that if a card were to be graded above my declared value, the price would be adjusted for me. It's a bit tough for someone like me, who doesn't know what my grades will be upon completion. I doubt they'd charge the remainder of your bulk submission as individual cards, but it'd be worth checking out. I'd suggest giving them a call (I've always had someone on the line in <5 mins).
  16. I just recently submitted my first CGC order and found myself in the same boat as some others, wondering about turnaround; if they'll charge upon receipt or at the conclusion of service (as stated), etc. My order was formally received today, allowing me to finally see their list of status definitions: Status Explanations Received / CCS The submission has arrived at CGC. The enclosed collectibles have been counted and entered in CGC’s computer system along with the submitter information, submission date and requested service. If there are multiple tiers of service, the collectibles have been separated by tier of service. In the next step, a detailed description of each collectible will be entered in CGC’s computer system (a process commonly called “verification”). The collectibles will be separated from any paperwork that would identify the submitter and the submission will be prepared for grading. If CCS services were requested, the submission will be routed to CCS and the CCS services will be completed first. Scheduled for Grading Each collectible has now been described in detail in CGC’s computer system and checked against the submitter’s descriptions. A unique identification number has been assigned to each collectible based on the submission form number and line item number. These identification numbers are printed on temporary holders and will be used to track each collectible throughout CGC’s grading process. Submissions are then arranged by service and received date so that they can be graded on a "first in-first out" basis by service type. Grading / Quality Control Collectibles are authenticated, graded and encapsulated. Once encapsulated, they are re-examined to verify that the grade and accompanying description is correct. The holder is also checked for defects such as scuffs or nicks. Finalized / Imaged / Shipped Collectibles have been inspected and approved in Quality Control, photographed (if applicable), carefully packaged and returned to the submitter. Grades are now available for viewing online. Returned to Submission Location Collectibles have been inspected and approved in Quality Control, photographed, carefully packaged and are returned to the submission location. Grades are now available for viewing online. At Submission Location Collectibles have arrived at the Submission Location and are available for pick up.
  17. Their recent email said that they were looking to "immediately hire dozens of employees across all of its categories," and there are open reqs for the trading cards group. I think the spike in the Pokemon TCG market, coupled with the migration from PSA/BGS due to turnaround times and the holidays is creating a bit of a perfect storm. Here's to hoping that folks aren't in the dark too long.
