  7. C'mon, Doug. Post it on the boards so all of us can drool over it. I think these guys are tired of seeing my 9.4's and want to see some real x-books. Casey They are all real x-books...some are just more well loved than others
  8. Kudos to Brent from Quality Comix for this ultimate grail of mine as well as sending it to CGC for me...a great thanks from the land down under mate!!
  9. Woo hoo!!! Waiting in the mail and now unwrapped from CGC
  10. A common scene repeated often amongst many a collector... We all have our mini-grails, our guilty pleasure grails and of course our ultimate grails. For me a chance to pick up my ultimate grail arose and i gladly took it up. The hard part is the waiting knowing that it is on its way, wining it's way from CGC to the land down under. And walking through the front door to find a box waiting there and you start wondering "is it finally here"..and the funny aspect that hits you is that...you've been waiting sp patiently for it, and yet you patiently, cautiously open the box, pull back the bubble wrap... and there it lays It's not Tec 27 nor an Action 1. It's not any number of landmark titles that populate the golden age and many times it is a point of some derision. But for me it is the start of a title that i remember as being the first comic i ever read that stayed with me. The first title that i ever started collected and looked forward to each month (albeit a little behind those in that states) to read the stories of my favorite band of marvelous, merry mutants. So at this moment, i be a very happy aussie and my greatest appreciation to Brent from Quality Comix!!
  11. Nope missed out on that one, this was from Quality comics...so i be quite happy with that I'd be happy too. He hooked you up with a sweet one Thanks mate (thumbs u Next i'll think about submitting my Amazing Adventures to see how well they stack up against your brilliant, blinding bodacious Beast books!! (i think just killed the alliteration with that one)
  12. Thanks one and all. It'll be a great feeling to finally have the one comic that is a ultimate grail from a series that i've never given up on...even when comics were becoming a bit dull. So now that i've got that one out of the way.... just another 15 to go!!

  14. (thumbs u A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Or in this case, continues with another step. At your age, with your drive and a bit of patience, I have no doubt that you will put together one of the top silver runs over the next 5 years or so. Congrats, Danny! Not if we stop him...
  15. An aussie kudos to ft88 for helping me fill in another 2 gaps in my x-men collection. Great books from a greta guy!!
  16. Such a tremendously great and beautiful book to own!!!! It doesn't ever get much better than this. Huge congrats (thumbs u Thank you, guys. It was a lot of wampum (as Jim calls it), but a voice in my head said "this is a once in a lifetime opportunity." Who am I to argue with the voices in my head? It worked out for Joan of Arc.... or did it? *organising angry mob with pitchforks*
