  1. Haha yeah I’ve been reading them and tossing them in the recycling. Increase the value of everyone else’s by a small amount. And yeah I listed mine too but I’ve been debating taking it down and sending it in to be graded and possibly keeping/displaying it. It is a really cool cover and I’ve always liked Moon Knight. Good luck with the sale
  2. Wow that collection is impressive, and he sold it all to one dealer. Hope it wasn’t a desperation move.
  3. 💯 I stumbled on these at the self checkout while getting some groceries. I stopped collecting modern Marvel books about 10 years ago so it’s not about collecting or $, it’s all about chasing that dopamine. Like the comic book equivalent of those blind box toys. The toys always suck but there’s an allure to the mystery of what’s inside. At least comics are cool (mostly). I hit up a few more walmarts after that but they were all cleared out. My brother hit one out by him and someone stole the variant books which is nonsense.
  4. Just received it back. I did have it pressed and presser did a nice job. Also in the first post I wrote VF I meant VG and no one ripped me a new one. You’re all too nice 😆
  5. Yep, the seller also includes spacers of different thickness to get the best fit. They had some of the best communication I’ve ever experienced and are willing to customize to whatever style you want.
  6. Not quite Black CAT, but G kinda looks like C. Just got these awesome stands from red wolfz collectibles on Etsy.
  7. I’m biased, as a tmnt fanboy my gut instinct would be to keep it to the day I die Pros: The financial offer in cash is pretty in line with a blue label 8.0 from what I’ve been seeing in the market. The FF is a nice consolation for making up the difference and so you don’t feel like you’re just straight up ‘selling out’. FF might surge when they hit the MCU. Kevin’s signature isn’t exactly hard to get so it’s not really adding too much value currently. Cons: You weren’t looking to sell in the first place so that’s maybe something to take into consideration. TMNT has a ton of stuff coming in the near future including netflix cartoons and a theatrical movie directed by a guy who worked on into the spiderverse (I have high hopes for it). TMNT fans seem to keep getting more and more rabid and I could see issue one blowing up even more even if we are in a collectible bubble. Whatever you choose to do I hope it all works out!
  8. I’ve never been east of NYC (without leaving the country), that would be a cool pilgrimage to make.
  9. I recommend using a hygrometer https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079N98K93/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I store in my finished basement. I was more worried about high humidity, but it caught that it was too low last winter. Turns out our house’s humidifier was broken before we moved in. I’ve been keeping it a consistent 45% ever since.
  10. Seems legit to me. I wouldn’t be surprised if that seller is a board member here. Other listings are all raw early Albedo and TMNT. Seller also has a TMNT vol 4 #29 which another poster started a thread about here last week. He/she might just need quick money and so isn’t taking the time to have everything graded. I don’t know how to spot a counterfeit Cerebus though.
  11. Yeah I’ve been taking advantage of the cheap prices for Groo. A few weeks ago I picked up some high grade Pacific/Marvel backissues to replace my beaters. Last weekend I got this Sergio book for half off cover price at a local comic shop. I think its been sitting in there for a decade. Now its hanging out on my coffee table. Was surprised to see it sells for a bit on ebay.
  12. I came here to see if anyone’s posted this. That’s the worst 9.6 I’ve ever seen. CGC that would be a 9.2 at best and that’s not taking into account the unvalidated sig/remark. At 40k someone is severely overpaying - if the auction is even legit. This same seller just sold a CGC 7.0 1st print for 12k last week.
