The kid was prob sitting in a barn and that’s all he had. And it was the 60s….the notion that comics were for anything but reading (and scratchpaper) was inconceivable to 99% of people.

These almost all came from a collection from a farm yard sale somewhere in Ohio in early 70s….via mothers boyfriend at the time who knew my brother and I were into comics…I’d love to track that kid down and find out he at least got a Nobel prize for mathematics or something to make the desecration at least a little worth it.

Playing catch up…my earliest FF and the copy I got as a kid in 1972 or 73 so 50 years now. That’s insane.

I’ll see what others I have pictures of but I absolutely love date stamps. I’d rather have a beat up copy with a date stamp that shows the comic was bought out in the wild than a 9.8 that was hermetically sealed when it came off the press.
