That's actually huge. They've been opening boxes from March for what, months at this point? I can't image the amount of packages they have to process after the other companies shutdown lol. I just had an early April standard order with subs get put into grading and QC. More excited for my 2/2/21 bulk though, gotta be getting close.

Bulk/Econ batch received 2/2/21 scheduled for grading 6/3/21 and 6/4/21 respectively. Bulk Order Placed 3/24/21 just showed up as received 6/4/21. Standard Order Placed 3/25/21 just showed up as received 6/4/21. Standard Received 5/13/21 has been in quality control for about a week. Pretty excited, lots of movement on multiple orders for me over the last week or two. Also, everything above is with sub grades. Hope that info helps someone. EDIT: My standard from 5/13/21 is actually in quality control, not scheduled for grading.

Sorry I wasn't clear. I was just responding to the guy above me who said TATs were 111 days. They changed it shortly after to 144 and I was just relaying that information. My first bulk submission was received Feb 2nd. So I'm kind of hoping by September? Christmas? Before Christmas would be nice haha.

Bulk now 144 Days
SharknadoInsurance replied to Nathan Robins's topic in CGC Trading Cards General Discussion
So we knew a ton of stuff was gonna get shifted to CGC from the PSA shutdown, but maybe it's not as bad as everyone thought? Gotta keep in mind CGC only grades Magic and Pokemon currently. PSA is (was) accepting all types of sports cards, Yugioh, Dragon Ball Super, Naruto, Marvel, and a ton of other stuff CGC simply doesn't have to worry about. My hope is since CGC is only focused on two TCGs that it makes it easier for them to expand and scale compared to companies that grade all types of cards. Either way I'm here for the long run. Been buying CGC comics for years and I hope to do the same with cards. Real curious to see what happens in the next month or so as far as TATs are concerned. -
Well it's 144 Days now.

Subgrades are one of the main reasons why I chose CGC. If I'm sending in a card, it's getting subgrades. I want to remove as much ambiguity as I can from the actual condition of the card. Plus I just think it looks better with subgrades than without. I also wouldn't buy a CGC card without subgrades unless it's really hard to find. My entire collection is sub grades and I'm OCD in that way haha. There's always going to be a portion of the community that just doesn't care about the subgrades and simply wants their card in a protected case. And that's absolutely fine. I think as people become more and more aware of CGC and what they do, the sub graded cards will have higher value long term. Pure speculation on my part, I'm no expert. Just how I feel about subgrades.

Just to add some more dates for anyone curious, my oldest submission not yet "received" in the system is bulk that was delivered and signed for March 5th. Prior to that I had a bulk submission that is in the system as received on Feb 17th. I think they got absolutely hammered in February from the PSA price hike. PSA shutdown an entire postal branch due to insane volume. Even a fraction of that switching over to CGC is gonna cause some backups. It sucks but we're all in the same boat. I'm optimistic with their plans to expand and meet market demand, but these things take time. Here's hoping everyone's cards are safe and secure. We'll all get our beautiful slabs sooner or later.
