  1. The Balloon Buster story is by Kubert in that particular issue--AAMOW 113. . .and it's a keeper every day of the week because it looks so much like how he handled Enemy Ace. It's almost like a missing Enemy Ace story. Sumptuous Kubert work. Doesn't get any of the love of the Enemy Aces, but it might as well be one. Definitely one of my favs!
  2. Getting all the Flashes is a noble thing, indeed! Welcome to the boards. Keep on postin'! Mick
  3. I gotta upload all my @#$%^ to Imgur, but I will get over it. I was already paying an annual price with Paypal before they pulled that stunt. No longer.
  4. I think I just figured out what some of the fuss with Photobucket is. This is total all the way.
  5. Hi people, Just to follow up, I finally wrapped that ebay auction and added it to the final proceeds of the war comics banquet. It amounted to $800 total, so I split it between Sue Glanzman and Russ Heath. Money orders were sent out in early December. In the spirit of transparency, I took pictures of the MOs and asked TheCollectron (who also attends the war comics banquets) to mail out the MOs for me (thus passing through two sets of hands). Here are the MOs. This $$ went to a good cause. Wish I had more to pass them, but we didn't go all out this year with the auction since we tried to keep things modest for the banquet.
  6. Only Everett could make me pay more attention to the ruffles or the textile pattern than the action itself!!! I am always just tickled by his attention to the most minute details with clothing drapery. Cool frijoles!!!
  7. I didn't know that there WERE 20 issues of that! I don't see those around very much. Can't imagine they're that it's an easy run to assemble!
  8. Really pretty copy! Tough book for sure!
  9. Hello people, I received a donation this summer from Don Rosa. He contributed toward the war comics dinner auction, but we didn't have enough folks who'd bid on the item to raise funds for Russ Heath and Sue Glanzman. So we postponed the auction until I had a chance to post it on Ebay. The art is a hybrid between Mademoiselle Marie and Magica De Spell. In case you're interested, here's the link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Disney-Comics-Artist-Don-Rosa-Original-Signed-art-benefit-for-Heath-Glanzman/132406544828 You can also search for it as "Don Rosa Heath" If you're interested, bid it up. 100% of the proceeds will be split evenly between Heath and Sue Glanzman. 12. That, too, is ultra cool! What's striking about it is how it's Kubert-like even when the faces don't lend themselves to Kubert features. Even Lunar at the bottom somehow looks like something that Kubert would draw if somebody told him to draw a funky little werewolf.
