  1. :applause: A fantastic KUDOS goes out to 143sks for lightning fast shipping and incredible packaging on a very strictly graded Northland Pedigree book and an awesome freebie Reprint of one of my grails. I would highly recommend Steve as one of the top sellers here. (thumbs u Thanks again for an awesome transaction. fay
  2. Thank you Mick, Mike, Shep and Richard. I see you are still pulling down some awesome books Richard and keep up the good work. Awesome books to look at and dream about for one day when things start to swing my way.
  3. Thank you very much Andy and a little Birdie told me you had a pretty big hand in this incredible act of generosity and along with Jeffro, I can't thank you guys enough. (worship) I owe you guys big time and will never forget this. (thumbs u This is terrible on our WAR boards and tears of joy are flowing down my cheeks as I type this and thanks again for helping me forget this year. I'm waiting for Troop to come on and say there is no crying on our war boards.
  4. I hate to whine and this year has been a rough one with one problem after another and today our buddy Jeffro made all the problems I've had just fade away. I never thought I would have one of these Beauties in my collection this year. I just love it and my scanner doesn't scan slabs very well and it's a CGC 3.0 and most of the flaws are on the lower spine and IMO it looks nicer than a 3.0. Thank you Jeff,
  5. :acclaim: :acclaim: :applause: :applause: Just as I was slowly getting a little down or in a rut as of late concerning our wonderful hobby, a book arrives today and MAJOR KUDOS and an Enormous THANK YOU goes out to Jeffro for a slabbed copy for one of the holy grails of DC War Books. I will never forget this Jeff. Thanks again and take care, fay
  6. Yes it was intended for a laugh and I copied that from another thread.
  7. I couldn't help it and don't be picking on my friend Andy. A few recent arrivals.
  8. Kudos and a BIG Thank You to the following members who purchased books from my sales thread and paid quicker than Flash himself. (thumbs u Thank you Gentlemen!! (worship) gregreece DCman Comicparadox BlowUptheMoon :foryou:
  9. Thank you for starting my favorite thread on the boards. You guys are sure making it tough for a low roller like me to post any books these days. Awesome books posted this last month Gents!!
  10. WOW!! Awesome example of my favorite Neal Adams Tech cover. That book is amazing and thanks for sharing that Beauty.
  11. Excellent and informative posts Shep. Thank You! It's hard to beat a 10 cent DC War book in a nice grade and I still love the DC BA war books for the quality of story telling and the fantastic art that went along with those great stories.
  12. WoW Mick!! Just Beautiful copies and incredible examples of the many classic DC War that had pink covers. I never tire of seeing your books. Thanks for posting those Babies.
  13. No troop, I think that's pink and I think you will eventually buy yourself a nice little Kitty one day. I haven't received this Beauty and won it last night on e-bay and that's pink and such a lovely comic. I guess that's not a very good description of a book in a WAR thread. Sweet book you posted Richard and you are on a roll lately. (thumbs u
  14. Awesome books Jeff and Mick!! I miss my copy of SSWS 49. Darn you Mike. J/K I actually had a box of books arrive yesterday and one today. I posted these next three just to match our current thread title. I had to replace this classic Russ Heath cover from my recent sales thread. (thumbs u Nothing really over VF+ and I still love them all.
  15. A selection of the nicer books from my favorite e-bay seller and a great board member ArexCrooke. Thanks Keith and Arex!! I love the BA run of OAAW and some of Russ Heath's art is the finest work I think he's done. IMHO only.
  16. :applause: :applause: Congrats Jeff on two awesome books. They are both incredible and your GIC 87 5.5 looks very sweet for a 5.5. Now that you've finally found your other Grail what's next if you don't mind me asking?
  17. :applause: A big KUDOS and even bigger Thank You to Flaming_Telepath for a Beautiful slabbed Spidey 56. Packaged to perfection and lightning quick shipping. It was a pleasure dealing with you again Nick and thanks for everything especially waiting for my car problems to be solved, fay
  18. Navy books in general get no respect compared to infantry and air. Short-run titles find it hard to get respect as well. (Blitzkrieg and Blazing Combat excepted.) Thanks Mark and thanks for the compliments on my new cover re-creation guys. The Bunky Brothers had a nice Atlas Navy Combat I was planning on binning until the car problems hit. Buttock or Dan posted an awesome Russ Heath cover of an Atlas Navy Combat # 2 that was incredible. I see your point though and it makes sense. (thumbs u The Captain Storm covers seem a little more comical than dramatic like many of the other DC Big Five.
  19. My friend I met a few years back on e-bay that had Russ Heath sign OFF 94 for me at the Motor City Con sent on another e-mail tonight and he said he had another surprise for me. I need to get this baby framed. I love the way Russ Heath left off the writing on the big rock in the fore ground and any other writing except for the title and I've seen two other re-creations by the Master and on both he had done the same sort of thing. <3 Thank You once again Rob and it will be framed as soon as it arrives. (worship) :foryou: :foryou: :foryou: :foryou: :foryou:
  20. Great books Keith and the GIC 86 is one of my favorites. Here is a couple of recent additions and a few I've had a little while. Nothing HG but I still love them. Two Millie covers in my collection with two to go. I think I need four more to complete my Captain Storm Run and maybe you experts can tell me why the one legged warrior seems to get no respect from collectors.
  21. You're too kind Ernie and it was my pleasure to throw in a few surprises to one of my favorites. It's always nice to exchange PMs with you and whine about my troubles that are officially over for the year. (thumbs u Thanks again for the purchase.
  22. So it was the Motor City Comic-con this weekend and my good friend Rob or board member RobtotheC who I met from e-bay very soon after I first started collecting sent me an e-mail about any books to search for. We've stayed in touch for three or four years and he taught me so much about this hobby and I consider him a very very good friend. I noticed Ted @ SuperWorld had a copy of OFF 94 in VF condition on his site and I just casually mentioned it to my buddy Rob. He sends me an e-mail tonight and to say I'm a happy collector right now is an understatement. <3 <3 Thank You Rob, it's a Beautiful Copy!!! (worship)
  23. Oh it feels so good to have my car problems behind me and back to buying books again. I've had three copies of this classic book with an awesome Russ Heath cover and this one is a keeper. The OAAW 125 is a recent e-bay purchase.
  24. Congrats Larry!! :applause: Nice pick-up!! I used to have one and in a week of stupidity sold off my entire OAAW collection. I now have over 75 issues replaced in little more than a year, but not that one.
  25. I guess that's why I usually only collect 7.0 big box 12 centers and FN/FN+ if I can find them in 10 centers.
