Those cards look to be vending machine stickers. I don't think CGC grades those.

Here's what I'm assuming - The competitive sets can only have 1 of each card, so when you have multiples you should choose the best one. When you added the 2nd card the first card was deleted and replaced with the 2nd card. The other card can be used in a different competing set, like a Charmander set, I think.

I'm not really familiar with exactly what the registry is about, but I went ahead and added most of my cards anyways, (and made it to the top 5 ranking at the moment, I see ) I was browsing the comics CGC registry forum to try to figure out what kinds of contests there might be, and have a quote from the OP of the "It's.....The 2022 Registry Awards!!!" thread. It sounds like something for the trading card enthusiasts and collectors that will be a lot of fun. I have no idea why any real collector would add cards to their registry that they don't own, but I suspect that the percentage of users doing so is far less than the OP of this thread is suggesting. At least I hope so.

If this is an authentic card, with a grading scale of 1-10, I can't imagine why CGC would not grade this. A grade of 1 or 2 would be a heavily damaged card, which this certainly is. It looks to me like it had been stored somewhere damp previously. JMO tho'. Reminded me of the "Washing Machine Charizard".

I'm curious what constitutes "outside of tolerances" for off center grades on the old labels?

I figured it out ages ago, seriously ages ago. Some submissions are being cherry-picked based upon what cards are in them. That delay in the pop report...again uh huh...is obviously cause the stats aren't up to par and they need to pad numbers on certain cards and sets. What they call "throwing more resources at the project", is code for "more particular card grades needed" . Makes perfect sense in my world. ‎ Yours truly, Miss Conspiracy Theorist, PhD and LoL.

Well, having gone through a similar situation, you will have your work cut out for you. Buy a bottle of PLast-X or something similar and a box or two of Kleenex. I found microfiber cloths tended to leave micro scratches, but the Kleenex didn't. Plan a few nights of movie watching, and start polishing those slabs. The light scuffs will clear off after a couple of minutes, the deeper scuffs and scratches will take many repeated efforts. I had about 45 that I had to work on, end result after many hours was about 6 that still have visible marks, but because the scuff indents are clear you don't really notice them unless you tilt the slab and create a reflection. I know the disappointment of waiting with anticipation, and receiving flawed product back. Sorry this happened to you.

It will be interesting to see the CGC pop report when it finally is published. The10's will be few and far between with the WOTC era cards, I would imagine.

You sent this economy order in with a standard order, in a ST marked box, yes? It does seem crazy fast, and entirely unfair to those who submitted economy orders months ahead of you. Not that you have anything to do with it, but it still appears that submitting lower tiers with a higher tier card order is a great way to jump to the front of the grading line.

This is asinine. My 2/12 economy shipped on 8/10. PM @PaulS. and have him check on it for you. I'm sure he will get you taken care of.

There is a Facebook group called "Marvel/DC Trading Cards buy/sell/trade", which has some listings for graded cards.

There have been several complaints over the last few months on the forum about scuffed and scratched slabs due to poor shipping protection. I agree with revat that a partial refund doesn't make sense. The scuffing on those pics looks terrible, and absolutely affects the slabs value. Send them back to be reholdered. That's what everyone who receives damaged slabs should do.

All cards with the OC centering have an 8 on the certification verification page. A couple of Cert # from eBay for comparison: 3737831002 3753656038

The problem is already out there. I've seen scuff marks on slabs on Ebay and even someone selling slabs on Facebook saying scuffs on slabs were from shipping, not their fault. To be fair, only about 6 of my last 190 bulk order had scuffing on them. The tighter fit in the shipping box seemed to keep them from moving around so much. The open slots space with my 33 card economy order allowed the slabs to shift around and rub against the flimsy cardboard dividers in the box, which is why 16 of those had scuffing and dings. I've spent hours polishing those with the PlastX clear plastic cleaner and polisher that was recommended on the other thread. It has helped, and at least makes the whitish look of the scuffs and dings more transparent, so they aren't quite so noticeable. I don't feel like dealing with the hassle of sending them back. But it is especially disappointing when the scuffs are on the card face, where the artwork is. I hope CGC figures out something soon. Too late for me though, but it is what it is.

Here are 4 of my recent economy returns. 16 of 33 have scuffs of the front card area. Should I contact them, or is this the new "normal" ? Hard to take pics of scuff marks, but with the light to the side, you can see them clearly. I would have gladly paid for these to be sent in graded card bags. Some are worth hundreds, and it would have been worth it to me to pay for some extra protective care. That cardboard divider has a rough texture and can slide up and down in the box if the box is turned over. It's no wonder slabs are coming back scuffed up.

Interesting. The new slabs weigh about 3 g less as well. Looks the same otherwise.

Gotta say, the image quality on your 6.5 is awful. It also looks like it was imaged on a dirty, waterstained, and torn piece of paper. Sad. Nothing stands out that I noticed, so best guess is the usual surface damage, a hard to see crease or dent of some sort.

Alrighty, I'm bumping this thread, because I think this is coming soon. A few days ago there was a sub-forum right under the "Ask CGC (Trading Cards)" called "Trading Card Marketplace". It wasn't functional and didn't stay there for long, but I'm hopeful it comes back.

It appears that this auction has been taken down, so all is well. I believe the certificate # is an older one, and the slabs have been upgraded since then.
