  1. Just wondering if this is normal as the last couple of orders I submitted were only in the "grading / quality control" phase for a day at most, then shipped. I have a recent express order of only 2 cards that have been in the grading phase for 5+ days. My card was already charged too, a day ago, which typically happens when its marked as finalized. Just want to see if anyone else has experienced this. Thanks.
  2. I made this mistake before, it sucked. You will eventually forget about it and let it be as its out of your hands. They get way too many shipments daily to find yours and mark it. It will take a few months to get received, but once its opened it will get graded much faster as they will see the paperwork, instead of waiting even more months.
  3. That's a very insightful post and I believe you to be correct in most of those assessments. Thanks for the info.
  4. For example, I was reviewing some cards I got graded recently. One is a MTG card. Sub grades - Centering 9.5, Corners 8.5, Edges 8.5, and surface 7.5. Add them up and you get 34.0. Divide by 4 (four grades), and you get an overall average of 8.5. CGC overall grade was an 8. Alot of other cards were like this too. For example I had a Dark Charizard holo that was a 10, 8.5, 9.0, and 6.5 respectively. This also totals 34, and when divided by 4, you get an overall of 8.5 CGC total grade was a 7.5. What am I missing? Surface counts for a higher chunk of the average when factoring in to the total? Thanks.
  5. I submitted a couple cards for walkthrough a little over a month ago. 3/19 to be exact. They were just received in CGC system. At the time of submission it was around $70 a card. Now it's over $100. I'm assuming they honor the initial pricing when you submitted it, correct?
  6. I think this new system is confusing / redundant. There's two types of "RECEIVED" through CGC. The first being the package simply getting to them. The second being the package physically pulled, opened, and entered into the system. Once the latter is complete, it shows it as received either way under submission status. So, I'm not sure what the point of the new tracking system is.
  7. After an hour of scanning Ebay and online, I found a handful of other Zards from the same set with similar small bumps. It's extremely hard to spot, especially through online pictures. Has anyone else experienced this from other sets?
  8. Hey all. Just got this card back, 2002 Expedition Holo Charizard, with a final grade of 8.5. That being said I'm very happy with that grade. I couldn't help to notice this extremely tiny reverse dimple or bump on the foil itself however. I've seen this before, on various Magic the Gathering cards, and even a select few Poke'mon holos. Has anyone else experienced this? It's somewhat normal isn't it? After all, if you look close enough at an older holo, it's easy to spot clouding, print lines, contractions, etc. Maybe someone can make me feel better
  9. That blows, I'm sorry to hear that. I figured worst case it would only take 2-6 days on average to be received. Your package was definitely delivered to the right spot correct?
  10. How's it going - I sent in a submission the other day and paid for the highest walkthrough tier as it is only 2 Poke'mon cards. Of course I sent it out in a rush, and forgot to write "WALKTHROUGH" on the package. I called CGC and the lady told me it will be thrown in with general receiving now and may take weeks to even show as received. At that point, I wasted money on the walkthrough. I have tracking # and all info readily available. If any employees see this and want to help save the day please message me. Thank you.
  11. Yea I'm definitely getting anxious and angry over the whole thing. Shipped the 19th, left Sarasota FL, hit Tampa, departed Tampa, and that's where its been for 5 days. Currently on "Departed USPS Facility, Tampa" w/ no updates. I'm sure it will come, as 95% of people are having issues, but yes, it's extremely frustrating not knowing where your expensive shipment is. BTW I ordered a graded card off Ebay, and it shipped from Texas the same day (2/19). That card made it to me today.
  12. USPS is delayed badly right now. My CGC grading is finally done, and I am anxious to get the shipment back. It shipped friday 2/19. It updated twice, from Sarasota to Tampa, then stopped. Other cards I got off Ebay are delayed / not updating either. Idk what's going on but its extremely frustrating when you have thousands of dollars of value in the mail being held up.
