  1. Thanks for the effort with the cross grades! Pack fresh in English have always been a bit of a toss-up regarding condition but I do feel the NM/MINT sentiment. My biggest frustration comes from the near 400 new back Japanese cards that I've graded through BULK: Vast majority 8.5/9 and few 9.5. Not a single 10. Completely baffled to be honest. Meanwhile I've gotten a few 10s on a STANDARD submission with new back Japanese - which honestly were worse off. The inconsistencies are of course also seen with every other grading company but the fact that 10 is a barred off territory makes the eventual disappointment a bit tougher. On another note, how amazing is it that the 1 millionth card graded gets a 10 :D? That's hilarious.
  2. I’m sorry to hear that Jim. When was your submission ‘received’? Wondering how many of us are in the February pot (Bulk feb 16 here, quality control for months).
  3. Bulk no subs received 2/16 (227 cards) and bulk+subs received 2/16 (96 cards) still at GRADING/QUALITY CONTROL. Made a simple query for the shipping charges to be lowered as I had the return address changed to a US based one (from a Denmark based one). So far it has resulted in multiple credit card withdrawals over the last month spanning various submission numbers and a total exceeding the original order (and probably delaying the order as well)... Here's to trying to save a penny.. My overview of the process is completely lost.
  4. Hi! I've got a curious card here that I'm wondering about. A Staff Prerelease Mewtwo from the Evolutions prerelease. The STAFF stamp simply doesn't have any color to it - only the indentation from the stamping itself. I've known of 'ghost stamps' where ink wasn't applied properly etc. resulting in a half impression of the intended stamp but not sure if it's the same with this card. Would CGC consider such an error - or care to explain why not? I submitted it with an error qualifier but just received it back as 'inelligible type' (altough it was initially graded albeit as the regular version of the card with no qualifer - not sure what happened there). Curious to know if this type of error would be considered (maybe at a later point) as similar types of recognized errors seem to exist (example 'Professor Elm's Training Method, Professor Program 2007-2008 - No Stamp). Happy collecting!
