  1. I recently purchased some older sealed korean pokemon card packs, and pulled these holos out of the 8. Does CGC offer grading for more Korean cards now? I would like to get these graded if possible, but I know at least a year ago they were only doing base set which is rather unfortunate.
  2. April has cometh my friends, may CGC have mercy on our souls and end this misery of waiting and delays this month 🎉🎉🎉
  3. Exactly what I thought at first, but no they literally just shrugged and said go for if you still feel like it 🙄 I honestly just want this thing at the bare minimum, given a simple authentication (CGC doesn't even offer a label like that in these situations) and put in a plastic coffin JUST to keep anything more from happening to it. And I like how my other cards look in their slabs, but I guess I'll have to find a grading company willing to step up to the task if CGC won't :////
  4. They actually responded to my next email about me being able to "still submit it", but they basically said that I can send it in and /hope/ it gets graded? What?? Why would I waste my time and money for JUST the possibility that a grader might be in a good enough mood to grade my card, despite what was stated right beforehand? Just giving a straight yes no would be fine so I don't have to strain my brain going "what if?" on sending it in or not. Maybe I can throw it in a washing machine and go viral to get their special destroyed card treatment like with the washer zard 😑😑😑
  5. The verdict is in! CGC can NOT encapsulate him! BUT they will grade him nonetheless! A bummer, but it's nothing I ruled out in getting a response. I'm not exactly sure how grading would work if it's not encapsulated, but it's something I'll consider and ask about! So hopefully for all my friends with peeling EX cards, can use this post as reference before uncertainly sending stuff in!
  6. Oh I do recall seeing that zard video! But I honestly just not sure especially with that most pokemon cards that peel (that aren't these ex cards) are sort of automatically viewed as fakes, and are. And I'm assuming that most people don't bother sending in a lot of cards in this condition from is era, so the people authenticating it might not have experience with this type of card deterioration, if that makes sense? So I might end up emailing them about it just to make sure, bc I myself am 100% sure it's authentic as I've had other ex cards as a kid that peeled like this. That and the lack of a census makes it hard to see if similar cards have gone through with ease in the past, but thankfully that's coming soon so fingers crossed.
  7. So I'm sure ahead of time there's going to be someone running to the comments telling me it's fake, but trust me, these EX era cards, ESPECIALLY the EX cards in general love to peel after a while. I've seen PSA grade this specific card with minor peeling, but my question is if CGC does as well, and also....when it's this bad. Like this would undoubtedly be whatever the lowest grade could be, but is it too much of a liability for CGC and other grading companies?
  8. I recently pulled this lovely reverse suicune card, but noticed out of the entire pack it was the only one with the odd marks I soon learned were referred to as "roller marks" from it coming out of alignment at some point in printing. This error(?) doesn't seem to get much attention at all, or maybe is just that hard to come by, so it's hard to really tell how this card or others like it would be looked over! So how would CGC or other grading services view/handle cards pulled with roller marks on them? Do they consider them an error, or just points to dock off the card?
  9. Wow awesome!! What card was it? And also mine got shipped out too, probably going to wait to see grades in person when I get it :))))
  10. Yeah pretty bummed out too with mine, was really hoping they'd go through after a week :/// Buuut we still have tomorrow at least, and hopefully our stuff will get finalized and shipped before the weekend.
  11. Alright I finally got charged for my submission, hopefully this means they'll finish up soon but fingers crossed 🤞
  12. Honestly the only 3/12 cards I've heard get finished already were relatively small submissions with partial or no subs. Though if you have subs like me then I guess we're the lucky few who are probably feeling the wrath of that +5 business days the subs are supposed to add overall. But I wouldn't suspect the cards being there any longer than by the end of this week. So at this point it's eh, alright that's at max 2 more days but what can ya do-
  13. Nope, nothing yet. They said they charge once it enters the grading phase, but maybe they meant once they were done and at the end of the grading phase? It's really the only reason I can think of on why we wouldn't be charged by now.
  14. Well if you get yours finalized let me know since we went into grading with the same service and subs on the same day-and I'll do likewise if mine happens to get finalized, but still in grading/quality control today.
  15. It's honestly so random with when they start grading cards. I think he had just 6 cards, not sure if they were subbed but I'm sure that helped it get through grading fast. Though at the same time, my stuff was scheduled 3/11 and is already getting graded, yet I had 2 more cards than you and also had subs on them all. I seriously don't understand how you can be scheduled for grading before people in the same tier yet they get put ahead of you. But it looks like this is a problem happening throughout all grading tiers, and someone should reaaaaally clarify on why this is happening so often and all over the place, bc it seems like a pretty hot topic nowadays here.
  16. That could be the case! Though I had seven 1st editions out of my 23 I sent in (all base through rocket), but they were all the same card. And I also have lots of duplicates in my order in general, so it might have been easier/faster for them to log them and get ready. But I hope your stuff move soon! It's only fair yours should get through grading before orders that came in after like mine.
  17. Just got updated for the 2nd time today, now my cards are in Grading/Quality Control. Now to see whether they'll stay like that for the next week since they made subgrades a +5 days add on, (though if anyone has any experience in standard with subs after they added the turnaround time for subs, I'd be glad to listen-)
  18. 3/11/21 Standards with subgrades are scheduled for grading today! So comparing other recent standard submissions, it looks like they're getting through standard at a pace where it's going through around 1 days worth, maybe a little more, of received submissions a day in getting them to scheduling.
  19. Ahhh that's odd, I guess they started it a little sooner with the billing. Though I hope that means they didn't just slap the new prices on us too 😱😱😱 but i doubt they would fumble the ball like that for people who met the requirements for submissions entered before the 16th.
  20. Yeah same here on wanting to know about how they go about with billing, I'm the day after on 2/12 so juuuust maybe we will be squeezed in this week with those turnaround times dropping.
  21. Honestly if I was faced with having to pick between 2 similar graded/condition cards-no matter the actual grade, I'd pick the card with subgrades. At lower grades it doesn't really have any money value being added to it, but it's nice to have. It's sort of like swirls in holos, if you have it, that means your more likely to attract buyers and there are a small number willing to pay a small bit more for it at lower grades. Though at the same time, your actual value doesn't really increase unless it's a very good grade or a big hitter card. I personally wouldn't buy CGC cards without the sub-grades since that's a big reason some people like CGC versus places like PSA. It just kills me not knowing why a card got the grade it got, and I know quite a few people who are the same in not wanting to buy CGC cards that don't have these subs.
  22. I was just curious if anyone has had any experience getting cards, (especially older ones) with printing lines graded here, and if your submissions ended up getting points taken off for the printing lines? And if so, how much do you think it cost on your grade?
  23. I honestly think that these delays were to be expected to happen eventually with such low prices and quick turnaround times offered, (really as an incentive to get cards graded with a new grading service) despite turnaround and pricing still being rather good, and even half the price in some cases compared to any other competitor. And I'm actually pretty surprised with how many people submitted in bulk, but that being said it doesn't surprise me since bulk in itself means A LOT of people are sending in A LOT at once, and that's really what sunk other grading services was the amount of people submitting so many cards in their cheaper tiers. So I don't really blame CGC for having to increase prices or their turnaround times going up as a sort of floodgate so not as many cards are being sent in as before, and probably using the price increases to help make their grading process faster, bc or else we'd all probably be waiting a lot longer if the prices were the same as they were in the beginning.
  24. So no way to fix that unfortunately? I could have sworn someone had a similar issue with their card shipment and their issue was resolved?
