  1. still have that what if page with the valentino breakdowns and williams inks coming!
  2. the film had an art and graphics team. If using AI to get the one interstitial image was their decision, and made in order to keep an artist working on something more important, it makes perfect sense. It is a tool. if the art department uses a tool to stay within budget/work on something more important, it makes perfect sense. If corporate suits demand using AI to replace hiring an art team, that is a problem. that being said, good movie. enjoyed it alot.
  3. 10% is already a discount. Last i checked it starts at 15%
  4. hit a little hiccup placing some bids, but looks like its all good and off to the races now!
  5. it looks pretty cool, a ton of original art, i also got this invite today-
  6. I dont think they will be doing this in the comics auctions. The "entertainment" department is it's own thing with the toys and pokemon cards and stuff.
  7. I dont know if those pages will be a good barometer since they are coming from Neil Gaiman's Personal collection.
  8. i mean it's not peanuts, but it is sort of like peanuts for a certain generation. and the Jim Borgman art is of a level that is beyond most comic strips. ha.com/40250
  9. i count like 8 pages...doesnt seem like such a huge chunk cosidering how much material there is...
  10. I think its a cool item. It might even get more, younger, people into original art.
  11. Its a selection of items from auction 7341 which opens for bidding the week of the preview. The Auction itself is sep 14-17.
  12. Nope, that's the bid, if you look at the lndividual page it says "reserve met".
  13. twice on Thursday, Once on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday!
  14. The new format means the auction doesnt close until tonight, so invoices should be a day later than you are used to.
  15. i took it as "no way it will reach that lofty price again"...but i guess it is open to interpretation.
  16. I mean, the people who are bidding on a 7.0 are probably not really the market for the 8.0...now whoever misses out on the 8.0 might go nuts on the 7.0
  17. what would an 8.0 batman #1 go for in a truly transparent auction?
  18. Looks like there was a buyer in between heritage and this. Goldin sold the copy for 3.4 in september.
  19. another opportunity presents itself https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/superhero/batman-1-dc-1940-cgc-fn-60-off-white-pages/p/7338-135001.s
  20. I see the similarity, but i think the difference is that new dimension made the books available to retailers through traditional distribution channels (diamond...was capital city still around?), so they are considered more traditionally "published"(?) u guess. Also they had been accepted variant products for years before CGC existed, so CGC didnt so much have to make a judgment on them, as they were already accepted by the hobby.
