  1. Adventure Comics #70 4.0 ow pages. Great Starman cover! Real solid copy with about an inch of bug chew at the bottom spine of cover but not the pages. $425 SOLD
  2. Action Comics #110 CGC 6.5 Universal ow pages. Just back from CGC, I submitted this book from a different original owner find that came into a local shop. I didn't have it pressed, just a straight sub. $395
  3. Action Comics #46 5.0 white pages. Original owner book came into a local store. Very solid and tight, it has a semi deep scratch in the upper left Superman circle. Book has a spine roll and a small 1/2" & a smaller 1/4" tear on right cover edge. Super copy! $595 SOLD
  4. I expect this thread to stretch for a week or two, listing books once I've had a chance to complete imaging. Going alphabetically seems most sensible, however there may be a few stragglers at the end if I find some forgotten about copies. in the thread trumps any pm negotiations. It's the best way to ensure winning the book. 7 day return privilege on raw books (return postage on you), no returns on certified books. Checks or money orders preferred but PayPal is possible if you have to pay that way. If PayPal is your thing, please combine all purchases into one payment. I can invoice you if need be. Domestic shipping: Raw books are $12 USPS priority with signature confirmation, Certified books are $16 USPS priority with signature confirmation. Insurance is NOT included and if you want it, it will be at cost. International shipping varies widely but always seems expensive. It will be at cost and take a little extra time to evaluate. I DO combine orders to save on shipping. Payment due once the thread is closed, or you indicate that you're done shopping. Thanks in advance for being cool.
  5. CRAZY awesome set of Adventures Ricky!!! You added quite a few since I've last see the stack.
  6. THIS is a beauty! A quick gander at a few lists indicates that the Larson collection had a 17 but no 15 and the Lost Valley collection had a 15 but no 17. I've seen the Church 15 ( ) but don't recall seeing the 17. With their green color schemes, I think they make a sweet pair of bookends!
  7. I never see it for sale and it's one of my favorites. Another I never see is the 17 and a quick census check puts it right behind the 15 as second rarest in all categories, universal, qualified and restored at only 7. The 17 is nowhere near my favorite, just one that I don't ever see offered. For whatever weird reason, I like the Flessel "raft" covers of 15, 25 & 32 quite a lot.
  8. If you have any doubles, feel free to message me! 😊
  9. Thanks Pal 😊 I dig all 3 that you mentioned and would like to add the other 2 at some point, when I can find the right copies. The New Adventure and Adventure titles are H O T right now!!! WAY too hot for me to acquire any. Not a great time to be a buyer.
  10. I completely agree with that! All seem after the fact and only those 2 dates (from what I recall). Looking through my files, it seems that I didn't grab pics of the New Adventures 12-14. I never saw any from 15 forward, with the new logo style.I likely would've jumped on any 15, as I really like that cover. First Flessel in the title!!!!
  11. I need a better pic of this pretty copy, which might be making a trip to Sarasota some time soon ….
  12. I bought this on a lark 4 or 5 C2E2 shows ago. Oddly enough, I was able to buy a coverless a year or two later, but have yet to "blend" a complete copy out of the pair. I think it's pretty cool to increase the population of existing copies by completing an incomplete comic. While this wouldn't be a suitable copy for some collectors, it'll be all I ever need. There certainly aren't enough to go around as it is, so every extra copy helps. AND it's a Cosmic Aeroplane
  13. I actually have a copy KJ, which of course, I'd LOVE to upgrade. If only I had an extra 10k laying around ….
  14. Signed sometime in the first half of 2008, the same year he passed away. Very happy to add this to my collection!!!
  15. I meant to quote you, not buttock, but my phone was being difficult this morning and I clicked the wrong post. It's funny that I was considering this exact same pair from Gary! It's too bad that there wasn't any type of list made from this collection. Great work uncovering all that you did about her Steve!!!
  16. I've been watching Gary sell quite a few from this collection and took the time to save SOME pics. At one point, he had More Fun 15-20 or 21 solid, as I recall. He also has some New Comics and the first few New Adventures. He also had a stack of Popular Comics (I think he still has one on eBay) but several of those found their way into other dealers hands now. The Irene Claxton stamp makes them hard to hide. The 2 More Fun copies pictured are still available from Gary, I don't own them.
  17. GREAT score Steve! I had been watching Gary slowly lower the prices and had been considering calling him on these 2 books, but you must've done so at the same time I was contemplating it, as they disappeared from eBay. In a way, I thank you, as I shouldn't be spending that much right now. I'm also VERY happy to know that they went into a great collection! Well done my friend!!!
  18. These are in remarkable condition!!! You'd blow the census up BIG TIME if you had them graded (not that I'm suggesting that you should). I've always been taken with the New Comics portion of the run and have owned several over the years. So early … simple humor covers with a nice mix of stories hidden inside. Tough to find in nice grade …. unless you go to RHG's place.
  19. WoW! This is a beauty! A great Shelly cover and the only "pre-hero" cover to not have the "above logo cover date" which has always made it sorta special to me. To cap it all off …. it's a Church copy with white pages!!! Spectacular copy RHG, just a blazer!!!
  20. My earliest New Comics issue, the #2. I would have liked to find a higher grade copy, but there isn't much out there. I have been considering sending if off to Matt for some conservation and having the spine split sealed professionally. Taboo to most, I know, but it'd be SO much more book in hand, ESPECIALLY with first generation holder off white to white pages! They might be considered straight white these days. I'm glad to see that there are at least a few collectors on here that dig these early gems. The very foundation of DC Comics and they are largely ignored these days.
