  1. I personally am not sure who inked the cover, as I went by the information supplied on the CGC label. Which one is right? I don't know. Maybe someone out there reading this has a copy of Marvel Masterwork Doctor Strange volume 3 and can see what Marvel lists as the cover inker, if they in fact DO list an inker. Also, Tom Palmer is still alive, so perhaps someone knows how to contact him and could ask him.
  2. I completely agree!!! I am guilty of having a tunnel vision type of focus at times, which has made quite a few other Silver Age publishers fall by the wayside. I'm enjoying discovering them these days!!!
  3. A classic Kirby robot cover which fits into the Silver category.
  4. The spectacular use of color on this Colan and Palmer drawn cover is likely very overlooked by the masses, which makes it a good time to grab one
  5. So many Avengers covers seem cluttered with what I'd imagine was their desire to fit every member on the covers, but THIS one (the 1st appearance of the Invaders) seems classic-worthy in it's clean design, while still featuring six Marvel heroes.
  6. I've always appreciated the amount of effort put into this cover and to me, it stands out due to the background detail. A lot of artists might have simply just plopped the two figures onto a blue sky or a solid color background with very little detail, but Romita went above and beyond creating a landscape that always makes my eyes want to pour over and absorb it at greater length than many other covers.
  7. Although I only have this mid-grade copy, it's hard to not call THIS issue a classic!
  8. Perhaps not a "classic" in most people's eyes, but this cover blew me away when I bought it!!! The artist did a tremendous job on this painted cover, in my opinion anyway.
  9. I've thought this was a classic from the first time I saw it. I bought the copy below and nice raw copy in Chicago a few weeks ago. The buddy I went there with had seen the cover before, but never read the story. He texted me 2 days ago after having read it and was floored at how good of a read it was!!! A great all around issue!!!
  10. I know this one is several months beyond the Silver Age, but it's the only straight white page certified copy I have a pic of.
  11. All of your FFs are beauties Billy Boy, but that 24 is stunning enough to cause a need for a diaper change!! Well, I suppose that … um …. "Depends" ….
  12. Nice grab Billy Boy!!! Ricky told us about it in Chicago. Said you were all kinds of excited
  13. I'm actually VERY happy about that! I still need some high grade certified and some nice condition raw issues. I DO believe it's gonna happen though. They're already SOME of the best deals out there in Silver Age. With only 15 Silver Age issues in the Doctor Strange run and not a large amount of his covers in Strange Tales, it's one of the easier sets to complete.
  14. A trio of Mexican Edition Avengers copies to go with the previously posted issue #1
  15. I don't think I have a pic or scan of any of the Goliath issues, so I need to get this Yellowjacket cover appearance in here to represent
  16. Since I don't have a pic or scan of my American Edition, this is all I have to show right now for this issue. Pretty rare though ….
  17. For those that can appreciate a very high grade book with a small amount of work on it …..
  18. I picked this up in Chicago a few days ago. It's unbelievably colorful and looks brand new!
  19. I searched for a thread featuring these two Marvel mainstays but found nothing. Given their growing popularity in the MCU, I think they deserve a thread of their own. Post any Tales to Astonish, Avengers, or any other mags featuring them here.
