That's one crazy karate horseback stance!

Grabbed this beauty at Wizard Chicago over the weekend. Black Knight joins the Avengers. It's also the first appearance of the Invaders and the last of the Silver Age Avengers issues with a cover dated at 12/69.

Got back from Wizard Chicago a few hours ago and picked up a half dozen or more Doctor Strange issues! A few high grade certified copies and a few mid/high grade raw copies!

Thanks and you're right! I've noticed that several copies I've seen have the "L" on the spine. -

I like that green Marvel used in the earlier days. Kinda "mint" green, but not quite as bright. Like the copy below. -

There's also some great Everett work in there too that would be missed. No worries though, 'cause that's one cool thing about the boards: Even if you don't have it, chances are someone else here does! -

I will always love how this cover is unique in logo design and the only "Amazing Spider-Man" to have the circle price! I have read that it WAS indeed Ditko that redesigned the logo, thereby spawning the other titles to adopt the Marvel Comics Group square in the upper left corner and unifying the look of the entire line within a month or two. I can't verify that, just something I had read. It really makes the circle price books seem early to me. -

I kinda forgot I even still had this issue, I bought it long ago. I never focused on the latter part of the run. -

I wonder why they changed the little Marvel Comics Group square in the upper left from the waving Torch to the flying Torch on the next issue going forward. I LIKE the little waving Torch Seems …. friendly. Maybe that's not what they were going for. -

I only have a raw copy of 109. Of course, I suppose I can look inside to see what the hubbub is all about -
That may change in the near future. It's one of a few sleeping bargains still out there, but those tend to get discovered and vanish.

Yes, Strange Tales are certainly allowed, as long as Doctor Strange is in them. Feel free to post any Doctor Strange cross overs in other titles too.

Kind of a "split screen" cover, sharing it with the Torch & the Thing, but the good Doctor does get a bit more than a third, so that's cool.
