  1. Others by Stuart: Mazikeen, Lucifer and Elaine from Vertigo's Lucifer And some TMNT to finish off: Eastman & Laird Jim Lawson And Ciro Nieli, showrunner / exce producer for the 2012 TMNT show (which was excellent, and you should give it a shot if you never watched)
  2. Two of my favourite commissions -- V and Rorschach by Stuart Sayger
  3. re: Savage Wolverine -- this is also how I felt about Ultimates 3; I really don't enjoy Jeph Loeb's writing in general, but I have the B&W HC with Mad's pencil artwork, and it's gorgeous.
  4. So, newbie question about this Kieth Maxx cover I was expecting it to go higher, as I had seen a piece listedn on CAT for $8k (admittedly, that one has Maxx + Julie + Gone) Would you say this one went for $4k because it's only Maxx on it? does the pencil vs fully-painted affect the price negatively? (I personally like the contrast between the two more than a fully-painted cover, but that's personal preference), or did he right buyer just simply didn't pop up?
  5. Issue #10 is now coming out BUUUT not with Mad art, which kind of defeats the purpose (as everyone in the comments is making sure to let him know) Posted earlier today to his IG: “Here’s a peek at Battle Chasers #10 with art by @ludo_lullabi Every page is 🔥🔥🔥! This will be an oversized issue with 32 pages of action-packed story, no ads. BCNW backers will receive theirs, and it will be available in shops later this year. So yes, it’s happening! Thanks so much for the continued support over the years!” https://www.instagram.com/p/CL9kWxAg0x0/?igshid=jk22ycs68w1t I don’t have a big issue with coming back with the game; I backed it, played it, and enjoyed it. I’m not happy about no Joe Mad in BC #10 tho... nobody bought it because of the mind-blowing storyline, it’s all love for Joe Mad art
  6. So, this was my very first auction, and I ended up picking one piece My first big boy art purchase!
  7. Back in 1999, I bought a lot of Pokémon cards as they came out and haven’t thought about them for a while. Apart from the Charizard holo (which I did get in a booster! Unfortunately it’s unlimited, not shadowless), are there any other iconic / sought-after cards in that set?
  8. Any idea about the cover to Verigo’s Midnight, Mass #1? I couldn’t afford it a few years ago when it was up for sale at The Beguling, and I haven’t seen it pop up again since then
  9. Yeah, I wish so too. He's my #1 top artist, and wish we could get more of his work on a regular basis. That said, it was clear even from interviews his X-Men days that video games were his true passion. Can't blame the guy for pursuing his passion. re: BC -- there was an update from Joe on June 2019 for Kickstarter backers saying that, in order to speed up new issues, Joe would draw some pages, but they'd be getting other artists to to do most of it. They got some negative feedback about that (mostly "we're here for Joe's art, not anyone else's". No idea what they ended up doing for this issue, but I'm sure we'll hear soon
  10. He's CEO of Airship Syndicate, which is working on the Ruined King game mentioned above @Crops068 -- if you didn't download your copy, maybe worth emailing them. I backed the Kickstarter and got mine. I loved the game, but I love both jRPGs-style games, Joe's art AND Battle Chasers. Mad also just posted a teaser for BC #10 on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/p/CL7AS6GAcWD/?igshid=1m0jv7jjqur3v
  11. There's a Darrow cover up for auction at Comic Link, ending tonight: https://www.comiclink.com/Auctions/item.asp?back=%2FComicTrack%2FAuctions%2Fbids.asp&id=1457110
  12. Stuart is a great guy. I originally discovered his art back in 2009, and bought five 11x14 commissions from him over two years; all still hanging in my home office. When I bought the last one, he raised his prices all the way up to $200, and I remember it seemed high at the time! He does live chat / auctions on IG too. Some great work in there. BTW, I 100% agree with the Sienkiewicz influence. I'm pretty shocked he'd disagree
