For Pressing, it bumps the wait time to up to a year!?! Thats insane! Guess i need to get them in there ASAP. Thank you guys. Appreciate the feedback.

Hello again, Been reading and the wait times to get your comics back from pressing and grading is taking ALOT longer than what CGC states, in fact months longer! I know it depends on the Tier level, but are the average processing times to get your comics back around 8 months now for modern? Does Fast Track cut the delivery time considerably and worth it? thanks, Philiboy

Philiboy started following PGM - Avengers 57 and Chipped Corner - Grade Hit..?
-
Hello Fellow Comic Nerds I have done some research, but still don’t know how much a blunted/chipped/cut corner decreases a comic grade. If this corner is rounded (or in this case a tiny part of the corner is missing), AND hypothetically the rest of the comic is 9.8, what would the grade end up being? Would it drop to a 9.6 or all the way down to an 9.0? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Phili

Pressing Questions - Picture Examples!
Philiboy replied to Philiboy's topic in Comic Book Grading and Restoration Issues
Thanks Kevin and Joey. I’m looking at a few comics right now that have light bend/creases and now I’m not sure. -
Question about stacking bends
Philiboy replied to Pangolin's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
But if it’s pressed out, shouldn’t it be graded at the condition it is after the press? -
Pressing Questions - Picture Examples!

Thanks guys for the feedback and the link for Q&A. One question tho on item #2 above. Would those back cover bends be removed if pressed? I still can’t figure that out. It doesn’t look like much but I don’t want to spend $$ on something that I won’t be happy with. Thoughs..? thanks all! -

PGM Doctor Strange 169 - Grade is in
Philiboy replied to ChrispyC66's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
Very nice! It is very similar to my copy! -
First off...sorry for the double post in the other thread. As I am learning the services CGC and other companies have to offer to make comics appear better WITHOUT restoring them, i still cannot find on this site or other sites if pressing can remove/eliminate the examples I have below. Im looking for some guidance on what "pressing" can and cannot remove on comics and i would love some feedback. My next topic will be cleaning...lol. 1. This one appears to be a minor wrinkle on the corner spine. The cover is in good shape so its not all the way through, but would a press eliminate this? 2. This one is a bit tougher for me, but would a press remove/eliminate minor folds like these? I blew up these pictures alot so its visible, but the one on the right is far more noticeable in person. 3. I threw this out there before and will use this picture again. There is a small "bend" circled and again, i would imagine a press would eliminate this? 4. The top of this book has a wrinkle/fold and would a press remove it? Thank you for help! PS: My next topic will be cleaning...lol.

"White pages" refers to the pages inside the book....correct? So if you are looking at the cover, then thats entirely different. My 2 cents.

Found my answers here: in regards to the picture above, the spine tick seems minor to me and maybe a press could get that out?
-
Seems its in the 7.0 range (+/- 0.5). Thanks everyone for your feedback.

Hello! another one of my favourite books that I want to get graded and looking to see what you all think of the condition first. no tears or rips inside the book and all staples are intact. I think a press will definitely help this one out. Maybe a 5.5- 6.5? Dang - this IPhone sux at saving pictures! Sorry for the sideway pics!! Please share your thoughts. thank you
