  1. I got my books back. Here's the 122 in all its 9.6 glory.
  2. No, but to my mind, considering the premium that I've paid (repeatedly) for pedigree copies, the market certainly thinks of them differently, so the registry should.
  3. congrats! What was the grade on the White Mountain? is that also 9.8? 9.6. I have a strong preference for pedigree books, especially White Mountain, so someone else can have the glory of that 9.8
  4. Knocked one off the list! The 122 in my latest sub got a 9.6 I also got a 9.8 on my 69. When it rains it pours apparently. I'm cool with the White Mountain copy so that 9.8 will make someone very happy.
  5. Did anyone here win the Ohio pedigree books last night at Heritage?
  6. Holy cow, what a great copy. It's so white!
  7. Okay... Just listed on ComicLink for the November auction is a Voldemort DD #7 in 9.4. It seems soft to me. I'd be PETRIFIED crossing that book over to a CGC holder. That said, I'm really curious what it will go for. I might bid, but not heavily as it doesn't look appreciably better than my 9.2.
  8. WTTB! Definitely checkout the newbies thread in Comics General. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=7324793#Post7324793
  9. I don't think it's anything other than issues 54, 55 and 56 are tough in high grade and this title is seeing some lift is all. Would be curious if anyone else has better colour...Rob? Eric? that's it exactly. 54 and 55 were/are esecially tough for me. I just got a #54 in October of last year ($262 from Greg Reece,) and I still need a 55.
  10. What did it sell for? $1300 See, that's exactly what I'm talking about. That's basically double what 4.0s sold for a couple of years ago.
  11. Yeah, it happens from time to time. No big deal.
  12. That's crazy. The last one that sold at ComicLink sold for maybe $1700? I remember leaping to buy the Metro copy for $1350 after being the underbidder on the ComicLink copy.
  13. Yeah, at this point getting a KILLER White Mountain copy of this book is basically perfect. I love White Mountain books and the Daredevils have been in hiding up until recently.
  14. What's weird is the book has been strong in lower grades (up to 9.0 it seems like) and Daredevils, in general, have been doing pretty well.
  15. If prices stay depressed like this I might have to aim for a 9.6.
  16. Before I forget... I won this last week. I love this book and couldn't pass up the structural/pedigree upgrade.
  17. I won this beast tonight at ComicLink (By one dollar! At a quite painful $749) If anyone is looking for a copy of this book I've got one at CGC that will be coming up for sale as soon as I get it. I'm beyond psyched with this copy. I didn't have a White Mountain book in my main CGC run, so I'm happy to finally get one.
  18. Three awesome books, for sure. They present really well.
  19. My books got in the system from Boston on the 10th. I dropped them off on Friday, but still, yours should be in the system. If you're a collector's society member you can monitor your subs. if not... you could call to check to see if it's in the system.
  20. I just subbed a 122 and a 69. The #122 is a complete hole I'd be filling (i'd be solid from 87-157) and the 69 is (hopefully!) an upgrade on the 9.2 it got when it went to CGC the first time. If those come through? I have holes at 1,55,and 86 and need to upgrade 7 and 72.
  21. #107 (Both my subs came back yesterday as 9.2s:(
