At the time, that was probably 2x a 9.8. Since 9.8s have taken a dive since it's basically madness to list this book at $150k. That's something like 10-12x the 9.8 price.

I think a solid copy (not one that has SCS) would be worth maybe half that.

Wow, what's up with that URHC? The book has long been rumored to have been damaged in the slab. That rounded corner looks like the damage.

Great book. There were some really nice Daredevils in that auction (other than the #1) Personally, I lost out on everything I bid on at comiclink. I was pretty strong but I ended up losing on everything. these books were really strong: DAREDEVIL #39 CGC 9.4 NM $332. Last GPA sale is $150 in 2009 DAREDEVIL #50 CGC 9.6 NM+ $443. Last GPA is $176 this year. DAREDEVIL #63 CGC 9.6 NM+ $275 Last GPA is $157 in 2009.

I think the curator will be stronger than that. If any two people are in the market for this book in this grade then they will look seriously at the curator. I have no idea about the other two books.

You can't sell that many copies of the same book, at that level and expect good things to happen in terms of relative pricing. I'm definitely curious to see how things shake out. To me, the Curator is the one that should just sell for full value. It's the best book and it closes first. What happens to the other two is a mystery to me.

It's not like they planned it and even once they found out... it's probably not the end of the world, especially for the Heritage and ComicLink copies. I mean, if the dealer who consigned the heritage book, pressed it into a 9.6, there's enough profit there to not really worry about a little bit of competition. Meanwhile, the owner of the 9.8 is sitting on the best copy of the bunch and might also be sitting on a LARGE profit (if, for example it was he who put the book in that old school holder in the first place.)

Could be. There were 6 9.6s in August. The 9.8 is in addition t those (which proves nothing, I know.) Interestingly 3 of those 9.6s are for sale right now. Based on the comiclink listing the consignor of the Curator 9.6 is the owner of the 9.8 and he just got it.

Anyone else notice there's a 9.8 Daredevil #1 in the Census now? Anyone know anything about it?
