Congrats! Really cool book. I love how Dan @Par2ch asks signers to also list their character. So far, the only one who has said no on one of my books has been David Duchovny.
There's a few others out there that won't. Jeff Goldblum is another. We always ask if the customer wants character names and unless they don't have time most celebs will.

I just found this thread. Did you guys know that you can get rid of Newton Rings ? Take a modern age backing board. Cut a 3" wide strip from it.
The top and the bottom of the new cases have just enough space to fit the board piece in. You may have to pry a little bit to open it at first. Push the board piece as far as it goes and make it shift left and right so you separate the inner well from the slab. Presto....newton rings are either gone are greatly reduced.

As a side note, unless something has changed, I don't think CGC will verify the signature as authentic unless the autograph is certified as witnessed at the time it's submitted for grading.
They won't. It would come back as a Green Label Qualified grade.

Hi,
I'm looking to expand my CGC SS collection. Are there any good online comic shops that have a good selection of SS for sale?
Thanks!
I agree with sean. I specialize in Celebrity signed SS, others deal in original sketches, others multi-signed books. Give us more info and we can point you in another direction.

New Marvel Labels
in Comics General
Posted
Here's my problem with these new labels and it's something that I just learned a month ago.
The problem is that these are limited editions. If you pay the fee for the custom label and down the road you need to reholder it you won't get the new label again even though you paid for it. Had a customer who paid for the Stan Lee label a few years back and they sent in a book to get cracked out and have a signature added. Well since CGC no longer offers the Stan Lee label they got the book back without the Stan label and they were pissed because no one ever told them the full details on these labels that if they were to ever go our of print you wouldn't be able to get the label again.
Lets say you go to sell a book down the road and it has the customer Spider-Man label and the slab gets damaged in shipping...you can't get the SM label. Or you have this as a yellow label and eventually want to crack the slab to add someone else.
If you pay for a custom label you should ALWAYS have that label going forward on that book even if no new books can get that label.
