  1. a lot of emotion on some of those great covers. nothing like war books and combat tv show in the mid-60's

  3. i bought several of my early haunted tank issues from a comic shop in wooster,ohio in the mid-90's. always looked forward to the owner calling me when he got war books in stock.well worth the 40 mile drive[

  5. this one cost me 4 times guide in trade in 1994. a 1992 bowman baseball complete set for this book. think i did ok
  6. well i am down to around 72 books to complete the big 5. mostly need numbers 1- 15 of each of the 5 titles. and car and house repairs have slowed the buying!!
  7. my plans keep failing also,faye. started out just collecting big 5 from 1959 on,then to try to get all of them. down to around 90 issues to complete
  8. Bill, I was racking my brain trying to remember the cover of AAMOW 20 and I couldn't seem to find a scan of it anywhere on line. I was checking through my box of slabs and I came across this awesome cover. thats the one!! my next pick ups will be aamow 9 and 11 sometime in the future. i like some of those obscure covers,and besides,i am down to 17 issues to complete that run! nice books wild bill
