    Thank you, i'll use that info and i appreciate the clarification. I actually informed the sender but they assumed that customs knew what manga is. Noted!

    Customs declarations form didnt clearly state comics or comic books. Luckily, I wasn't charged any import duty or any another custom fees, only VAT.

    Thanks for your response. You're right. In the customs declarations form, the sender wrote "volumes" and "manga" instead of explicitly stating comics or comic books. I've yet to pay VAT and recieve the package so i'm unsure on why i was charged. I'm guessing that they thought it contained DVDs or something of that sort but i wouldnt know until i get the customs charge label. When you claimed your packages, did you share a commodity code or links to the government website where it shows comic books to be zero-rated? In other words, what did you say?

    One week ago, i ordered a rare collection of manga comic books from the EU(worth £588) to which i was incorrectly charged £112 VAT. I'm in the process of filling out the dispute form(BOR286) and i need reassurance that the UK border force doesnt look for extra reasons to decline my dispute even though i'm 99.9% sure that I'm in the right.(VAT on comics are zero-rated from 01/01/2021 onwards). What type of evidences should i include(other than the main ones like charge sheet, decleration form, pictures of the manga)? What would the commodity code be? I already looked in multiple threads here, reddit and other places and the commodity codes are all different. Any help is appreciated :))
