  1. Last year I sent in two comic books to be cleaned ,pressed, and graded. Finally, today, I saw that everything is done and is due to be shipped to me tomorrow (7-25). After reviewing my order I saw my Predator #1 is graded a 7.5. Luckily I was given grader's notes and it said "there were spine stress lines to the cover and fingerprints on the cover". I thought pressing may take care of the stress lines but apparently not, so it is what it is. What confuses me is how are there fingerprints after I specifically paid to have CGC clean it? I understand dry cleaning may not fix the issue but I paid for a press and clean. FYI I have zero interest in selling these comics and I just want them for my personal collection so the grade doesn't really matter as much to me. I am curious if I am missing something here and I know you all probably have the answer.

    Uhm...What!?!

A year ago I sent in two comic books to be cleaned and then graded. Today I checked out the status and see that my items have been shipped back to me. What puzzles me is my one book was graded a 7.5 and in the notes it says there are spine creases and fingerprints on the cover. I can let the crease remark go but fingerprints are there AFTER cleaning?? Wasn't that the whole point of paying to have them cleaned?
  3. Hello, I sent two comics in to be pressed and graded and they were received on 8-13-2021. I understand about long turn-around times especially when combined with pressing. A while ago it said they were at CCS. I am now at the 8 month mark where I have to look up my submission number. When I typed it in ,3902915, it now says, " Your submission is in the “Received” status. Line item detail is not yet available." How did it revert from being at CCS to now simply being received?
  4. Okay, thank you for your responses. I just wanted to make sure this was normal since it is literally my first time sending something in.
  5. I am completely new to CGC but I have done a lot of research. Last year I sent in 2 modern books to me pressed and graded. As of typing this my books have been at CCS since 8/13/21 (received and accounted for). I seem to recall the turn around times when they were received were 120 for CCS and 85 for CGC. As stated, I am new to this world, but is it normal for books to still be at the pressers 5-6 months later even though the turn around should have been less than that? I don't know if this matters but one of my comics was almost very clean and the other was in really good shape (ie didn't need a lot of work or repairs). I understand times are busy and I am just curious if this is normal.
